Liquinn Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 (edited) I saw a girl that I'd known from college about a year ago or so yesterday for five minutes. But when I saw her un-planned for five minutes yesterday it just didn't feel the same? Why is this? Now we don't go to college anymore. Does anyone know what I mean? Could someone tell me why it just wasn't the same seeing her yesterday? Edited September 16, 2013 by Liquinn
Author Liquinn Posted September 16, 2013 Author Posted September 16, 2013 You've grown up and grown apart. I agree. I was more confidant speaking Spanish in the restaurant than speaking to her in English.
MomsSpaghetti Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 OP, I had a similar thing happen. I, now graduated, ran into a girl I had met in college. She had always been extremely friendly -- even flirtatious -- to me every time we had hung out during college. But on this occasion she was barely giving me eye contact and seemed uninterested in talking to me. The encounter totally bugged me for a month!

I guess I don't know what she's like with her boyfriend. Well, I'll probably never see the girl I saw the other day that I knew from college again. Maybe I'll run into that girl I could have spoke to a few years back.
coolheadal Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 (edited) You think you know them but you have fell out of touch. This happen to me with a friend I met him when he was 15 years of age. His family had taken me in and had treated me nice because I was nice to their son when the were here in the states. The family was from UK. But they decided to return to the UK and didn't think the dream of staying in the states was going to work out. I've tried too keep in touch with friend for many years. But 30 years past and he came to the states on holiday (vacation) a changed man now! He was 45 years old with a wife and 3 kids. He told his family all about me but I felt I really didn't know him again, as it wasn't the same. Today we don't talk, because I had need a favor as friends but he refused me right out! Which I wasn't expecting from him! So now I know when you loose many years of communication it will never been the same as you once knew it to be. Edited September 16, 2013 by coolheadal
