Do women "remember" the faces of people they've had sex with?

I came across a woman I had a summer fling with 3 years ago, we had separate internships in a major metropolitan area. By coincidence we passed by each other at a city cafe while taking a break from driving, she was heading west, I was heading east.

 

The thing is, she claims to have no memory of ever having sex with me. Our fling lasted nearly 2 months, I took her dancing, to parties, to restaurants, to cultural pantheons, etc. Every time we went out we ended up at my place.

 

Is this a little weird or normal?

 

I have an array of possible explanations in my head, but none of them make complete sense to me.

I can't ever imagine sleeping with that many men to not remember a 2 month fling. But that's me... I haven't had many partners because I believe in sex after monogamy. So I remember the men I've dated exclusively.

If she isn't a twin and doesn't have a drug habit then she remembers but has chosen to not let you know for whatever reason, perhaps she is embarrassed about the whole relationship or perhaps she is involved with someone and wished to just let her past be her past and want to focus on her future..

 

Either way.. chalk that one up to bullet dodged, any person who would purposefully do that is eff'd up and would have caused you more pain if you had lasted longer.

I've bumped into guys I've had flings with and not remembered them at all. Shame on me...

That is very strange, especially if it wasn't a one time fling where she was drunk, but lasted two months and you all did stuff besides have sex. Odd indeed.

 

I haven't ever had a one night stand, so I know first, last name and faces of every man I've slept with. Even men I may have kissed or went out with once I will remember their faces. Some, if it was just a one time meeting, it is a possibility that I may not remember/recognize them out and about, but I doubt. I am good at faces, not so much names, and usually when I've seen someone around a lot, even if we aren't friends, I will remember them if I see them elsewhere or they will look very familiar to me, so even more so with someone I slept with.

 

No way I had sex with you for two months and essentially dated you and will run into you and not have a clue who you are. She is either lying or has a very strange memory disorder.

I've only had sex with one person but vividly remember every girl I had strong feelings for or kissed.
