I think it's more about age...It looks to me that most people are married or at least paired by 27-28 regardless of how they look.

Doesn't mean I'm willing to f*ck just any guy to satisfy my need. I've never been with a guy who was any good in bed anyway, masturbating is still the only way I've had an orgasm. Maybe if I have a good sex experience I'd be less willing to choose masturbation, but that's not the case right now.

For me, "I can just masturbate" was never even an option if real sex was available. Many of us men would never ever, ever, have that thought.

 

I'm a dude and uh I would prefer to masturbate than have sex with some random person who may be offering sex. Yes I have turned down no strings sex, simply because I don't really enjoy sex unless I know the person.

 

I have a pretty high sex drive as well. I have quite a few attractive female friends who are single. Most of them are single because they are very focused on their careers and/or simply are not interested in a relationship at this point in time. Or even the most cardinal sin that they are not interested in anyone they know because they are too "picky".

 

They are also happy looking after their own sexual needs and don't feel the need to go out and hook up with random Joe Blow from the bar.

I used to be like this, but recently I've preferred masturbating to FWB and one night stands.
