joshi01 Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 I met a girl through a friend and she lives 5 hours away. We're meeting for the first time next month. My buddy wanted to go this city (it's known for parting) but I didn't care for it. Since she lives in this city I said why not. At least i will get to meet her and see what happens. We've been talking on the phone and email for two months. Here's the issue, i have to take time off from work (losing $200 in pay) i have to flip the bill for hotel and everything else. This may end up costing me $500 for the weekend Given i'm going this far, i'm not just going to go and have just coffee. I'm guessing we will go for dinner, if so should i pick up the tab? Should we split the bill? Also, I'm single dad and she's a single mom. I'm not loaded with $. Need some advise. Thx
henderson14 Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 So how is this going to work if you get serious if you can't even figure it out for one weekend? Why do you have to take off work? Can't this be arranged when you are both off? I would just go to enjoy yourself and have fun in the city. If a relationship comes out of this, than good, but it sounds like a stretch. You will really have to hit it off the first time to keep this going. 1
