Guitarisgood Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 We're in the same degree but I do not know her. She's in a few of my classes but she sits with her friends and mine with mine. So we know OF each other but do not know each other i.e. we're strangers basically. So why did she add me? Do girls normally do this?

I only friend guys for a reason (i.e., they're real life friends, they are a good professional/academic contact, or I'm interested in them). Other girls will friend anyone and everyone for no apparent reason. My housemate last year was like that, she'd friend request pretty much everyone she knew the name of, including people she had never even heard of before that moment. How many FB friends does she have? If its under like 200-300 she's probably fairly selective and has a reason why she friended you. If she has thousands of FB friends, it's probably not much to look into.
madjac74 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Facecrack is so advanced now that it can make you do things you wouldn't normally do...like open up your personal life and information to complete strangers just so you can add another tally to your friends score. She is either shallow, irresponsible or both so just delete her and forget about it.

She could have added you because she's a "list builder" or she could sending a hint. Only she would know why she did it. I'd say just pretend it never happened. FB can make you crazy if you let it

I actually saw someone post something on a local radio show's fb page and they seemed funny and lived nearby. So I friended him. We have the same sense of humor and I think we could be good friends. He actually messaged me a few weeks after and asked where I knew him from so I told him the truth. LOL Probably weird, but I stepped outside of my comfort zone and made a new friend.

I would friend a guy if I'm just curious and want to be friend, I would also friend a guy if I'm interested in him. So, it could be that she is interested in you, or that she just want to be friends (but hey, either way, it's a good thing! at least you get the chance to know each other better, right?)

Had work so I ended the conversation. She said her byes and added x's to it too. Now honestly, for someone you only know by sight in class; a stranger, adding x's? Surely even for the average girl thats a bit over the top?
