Philosoraptor Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 So what's the oddest reason you've decided to stop seeing someone? I took a minute to think about my response on the "picky" thread, and thought back on all of the dates I went on before I met my fiancee. I had a moment that could have came from Seinfeld. I went out with one girl a couple times and she simply refused to use contraction words. For some reason it drove me nuts listening to her talk. Everything was "I do not like this", "I can not believe....", "I should not go there", "I will go...", etc. and it drove me bonkers. Everything else about her was great. I'm all about speaking correctly but that just drove me up the walls. Any other odd reasons out there?
cici713 Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Not so much odd as it was a red flag. The guy opened his wallet said he only had $20 until his next paycheck. Then asked what I wanted to do. Really? I got out of dodge really quick after that. 1
sabre80 Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 My very first girlfriend was when I was a freshman in high school. I was a nerd and had a bit of self consciousness. She asked me out. 30 minutes after asking me out we headed to lunch. I ate the same lunch every day the entire time I was in high school. One of those microwavable chimichangas and a Dr Pepper. As soon as I open the chimi this bitch leans over and in one bite devours over half my chimichanga. I looked her in the eyes and dumped her right there and walked away before she could finish chewing. 3
ASG Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 I stopped dating a guy because he was a loud kisser. Like... seriously... he made noise everytime he kissed me. It was so distracting! it just drove me up the wall and turned me off completely. I also stopped seeing a guy because he never once offered to come meet me, it was always him asking me to go and meet him. Usually at his house, which was a supreme pig sty. I got fed up with it and dumped him.

I remember my father once telling me not to use contractions because it is lazy English. My girlfriend never uses contraction either. But her mom is English. Like queen's English, never miss a tea time and you better not use the incorrect fork at dinner English. I love her to death though. She has taken my own kids under her wing as if they were her own grandchildren. Done wonders for their manners too.
colombiana28 Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 i've dumped a guy for making weird noises during sex/oral. One time when I was going down on him he suddenly exclaimed loudly "YESSS THAT'S THE STUFF!" it was so dorky, like he had practiced the line before...i just couldn't. didn't dump him right then and there, but that's when i made the decision that i carried out the next day. it was the final straw...on top of that he was ghostly pale, had to be on pain meds most days, and hadn't been intimate with a woman in 5 years. just...too much. i think we dated for 8 days total.
