Owl Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 If he thinks he found his soul mate in 13 days to make those type of statements, then she has an additional problem outside of the fact that her marriage is in free fall. She then has a bad marriage, and an adolescent for a husband. Or perhaps she has a bad marriage because her husband is acting like an adolescent? For that short time...my wife was certainly acting like one. She's one of the most intelligent people I've ever known, with a wealth of life experience to draw on...and yet was like a silly teenaged school-girl when she was caught up in her EA, making choices with absolutely zero apparent thought to long-term repercussions or outcomes. Sometimes that affair is what makes them turn into an adolescent, emotionally. And we can debate cause and effect...but dealing with one will almost certainly resolve the other. 1
Realist3 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I think the only thing to be resolved is when is the date the divorce papers are signed.
Owl Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I think the only thing to be resolved is when is the date the divorce papers are signed. This could be true. But many thought the same in my own situation. She'll have to make that choice for herself. Decide which goal she's going to work towards, and then see if that goal is obtainable or not. Now we just need to wait to see if OP comes back or not.
