Seven months after the breakup, I'm ready to start dating again. And wouldn't you know it, I have three planned this week! Crazy. One of them, we met for literally just five minutes in a bar and I asked her out the next day. I'm actually pretty into that one. The other two, they asked me out, and I'm only mildly into the idea. My reservation is, is it alright to go out on dates that you aren't super excited about? I guess most dates you don't really know a whole lot about them before you go out, so it's worth a shot. I just have a history of letting dating get too serious because I have a hard time telling girls I'm not into it. Some guys I know date casually, I have no idea how they do it. So I guess I should just go out on all three dates with an open mind and see what happens?

Go into it with no expectation other than to have fun. If you're not having fun, or you don't believe you will enjoy any particular person's company, then don't go out with them.

IF its getting serious on you too fast its because you are not telling them up front what your intentions are.. like do you want to have something serious or not.

Trust me its always better to lay it out on the table form the beginning where you stand. IF you do that, everyone is better off and no one can come back and say you lead them on or lied to them.

Sounds like you're well on your way. Casual dating is focusing on the moment and disregarding any future plans/thoughts/feelings. Tonight's dinner, tonight's symphony, tonight's long walk along the river. Tomorrow, next week, next month, next year are irrelevant. No expectations. No investment of emotions. Sure, *feel*; I think of it like a good movie at the theater. I go, have a wonderful time, walk out feeling uplifted, and never return to see that movie again. Good luck.
