Emma1234 Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 I have received a message asking to meet for a catch up. 4 months since break up. I'm currently away for 2 weeks. I have not responded and have been NC for about 2 months. He has sent me one other breadcrumb but it was just asking why I had blocked him. What do I do? Do I respond? Wait until I'm home and respond? Or ignore?
saltyfishhead666 Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 I would ignore. Why do you need to catch up with him he's your ex! If he was that concerned by what was going on in your life he'd still be in it. Ignore it and forget it xx 4
Tinkerbelll Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 You successfully made 2 months NC, I would suggest to ignore him. There is no point in meeting him now. ConfusedHumanBeing Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Ignore......you've been doing well. If he really wants you back in his life or whatever, he'll try harder than a "lets me up" text. 3
destroyed4sho Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 You dont have to go.meet.him...i can just tell.you what is going.to happen: If he doesnt punk out last minute, your going to meet him, catch up,.tell each other how great your lives.have been, then the subject.of.the relationship will.come up, he is going to tell you.that he wants.you to.be friends and that he wants.you in his life (as friends), your going.to be dissapointed, go home and.cry (thats if u still care, hard to tell), and start NC all over again. My source comes from my crystal ball of experience! 2
Author Emma1234 Posted September 14, 2013 Author Posted September 14, 2013 Thank you guys, really appreciate the replies. I've learnt that you should trust the advice on here!! I'm just struggling with him thinking I'm being petty and ignoring him. I also don't want it to give him an ego boost to have me ignore him. What do you think?
JDPT Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 I think you should utterly disregard what he may think of you, that's for him to struggle with and for you to leave in the past. You have a solid fundamental concept as to what it is you need to do, implement it full force and never look back, that's what I think. 2

It gives him more of an ego boost to respond. It means he knows he still has power over you and you're still hanging onto him. If you ignore him, it tells him he's lost you and he no longer has power over you. People won't admit it, but they love to hold power. 1
