I have been having really bad headaches. They get so bad I get very sick and dizzy. I thought it was just stress but I could not get it under control so I went to the doctor who recommended an MRI. I had that done and my pcp told me something doesn't look right. He needs to consult with another doctor and he will call me. The nurse called said the doctor wants to meet with me.. I have other appointments so I can't get in until next week. I am stressing out! I don't know what it could be :(

Right now the BEST thing you can do is Breathe!!

Can you rearrange your other appointments?

No I wish.

If it was really bad he would have sent me to a specialist... right?

I would think so, but I would be rearranging heaven and earth to find out what IS wrong!

I am trying to reschedule and rearrange... I am not sure if it's possible. Thank you so much for replying to my post RowanRavyn.

Demand clarification from him on what 'doesn't look right'. Ask for the imaging report, they have to give it to you, it's your medical record.

That's probably what the meeting is about. Demanding won't get anywhere.

I had an MRI not too long ago and something didn't look right in mine either. (actually I had two of them done because something didn't look right)

Turns out I had a pretty nasty sinus infection and the MRI is the only thing that showed it. Cured with antibiotics!

Don't worry -- "not looking right" does not always equal something serious!

My appointment is today :) I am probably over reacting. My headaches have gotten a little better.

hope all goes well for you today! sometimes if a doctor is in a "general" practice and he's not sure about something questionable, it's in your's and his best interest to get a second opinion/consultation with another doctor that practices in one area of medicine only, like surgery, cardiology, neurology, etc. scary it is, but for the best. like hokey said it doesn't always mean something "bad". stay strong!
