Hey ladies and lads:

My BF and I only get to see each other on weekends and we work and live in seperate towns. Usually what happens is that I will visit him one weekend and he comes to my place the next weekend.

The problem is that the BF is a big fan of video games and some weekends he'll spend his whole weekend or at least half of it playing games. I'm not into the games he is so whenever he does this I am stuck in a small town with nothing to do. This has happened a couple of times and it pisses me off...a video game has no feelings and he can play it all week...and I'm spending time and money to go see him to sometimes get completely ignored.

I don't want to turn into one of those crazy GF's that doesn't let a guy have ANY fun so I'm wondering if any of you creative people have and suggestions for how we can compromise?

Unless he's 12..... Only kidding. :)

Everyone has individual interests. You may be 'obsessed' with the computer (think LoveShack!). Integrate yourself into that time if it's something he really enjoys! Get games that you guys can enjoy together.

Several months ago, I bought an old vitage Super Nintendo. My fiance and I (when we're bored, which is rare) play baseball and basketball together. We have old vintage games that are nostalgic....Super Mario Bros. for God's sake...it's so fun. I whoop up on him and he um, yeah, beats me too. :)

Share his interest. But make him practice moderation. I think moderation is key.

Maybe go on the internet while he is playing his games. That's all I can think of.

If you are still bored with that either annoy him till he gets off or turn the power off. If you want to go to extremes.. Lol.

I think I would get a new boyfriend, that´s so infantile..... Not that I don´t like video games, actually I´m inclined to think I might heavily addicted to playing (ahem, had past problems with it when my brother and I nearly killed each other... :o just kidding :p ), but hey man, you reach a certain age when you think that can´t be it, spending your life in front of the computer or tv is such a waste of time, apart of training the muscles in his hands he´s not doing anything. A game once in a while is ok, but this is faaaaar too much. Stop visiting him or try to organize some outdoor activity, if he doesn´t stop it, dump him. That sounds a bit mean, but I´m afraid he wouldn´t even bother too much if you stopped seeing him, so try to get someone who is more mature.

Good luck :)
