melell Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 I am 25, In high school I was close friends with a guy who was, well, much more popular than me. I always felt a weird connection between us. We have seen each other a few times, he had a long term girlfriend, and I had a long term boyfriend (8 years) A few years later I ran into a friend of his, who said that the guy in questions was in love with me back then. A year after that I was in my home town for a visit, I went into a club and here was there. As soon as he seen me he started hugging me and trying to kiss me (he was intoxicated), but this was really out of character for him. It turns out he had a girlfriend when this happened (stunning girl), and they soon ended. I returned to my city, and hadn't heard from him until now. I have been having dreams about this guy for 10 years, even though I was madly in love with someone else. Am I crazy for still thinking about him? I can't shake it. And these events made me wonder if maybe he feels the same.. Thoughts?

You desired him back in HS and your image of him is the image of him back in HS. It's something you've always wanted to try. If your single and he's single I don't see why not in following your crazy thoughts. HOWEVER, know that the image of him back in HS is definitely not the person he is now people change a lot in ten years. Just be careful... I mean a guy that gets drunk and tries to randomly kiss a girl can possibly be you know a player. You don't know him until you know him. Maybe that connection is real, doesn't hurt to start casual

It was weird because I was really truly in love with my ex, had no desire to break up with him, but this guy would pop into my head- not romantically, but just him. I thought the same about the wanting to kiss random girls, but when someone mentioned this to me they said that everyone was seriously shocked and it was out of character for him. That made me wonder if perhaps he thinks of me as well. It is awkward for me to even been pondering this, it feels like it is insane, and just my imagination!
