I have been asked by a few guys to go on a date, but something inside me is so afraid of going on a date again! Most of them just want to grab a meal or coffee. I told them I want to wait a few more days before we meet up. I am ready to date, but I guess I'm just nervous about it all. Just being yourself, not being a dork would help I guess. Nice outfit. She made lame jokes, told stories that accidentally went nowhere or missed parts out, got tongue tied. I really liked it. I'd take it over a cool practiced approach every time. It's real.
todreaminblue Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 to me trying to be someone different makes me even dorkier...so i stay with just being a dork ....over time i settle and my true wit and charm comes out...lol.....maybe .......ill let you know when it happens..... honestly first dates are always a little awkward....second dates better ...a coupel fo weeks and things settle......i havent really dated since the late eighties but i believe the concept is the same ...to have a good time.......to get to know someone better....just be you and have fun if you can accept the awkwardness is not going to last adn give ti a chance to settle.......i wish you happy dating..deb

Whehe this does sound like me yea. Even when I'm not nervous . Glad there's people who rather have a bit of a clumsy date than perfect. I guess I'm a bit afraid I'll make a complete tool of myself.
