the quote was "good is the enemy of great." - jim collins.

every time i see her post something online, its towards me. i'm wondering if you guys know what the quote means.

Shocker, you are refusing advice again. STOP CHECKING UP ON HER ON SOCIAL MEDIA!

This is a classic example why you do not look at fb or any social media.

Your head spins.

You'll constantly wonder.

I know,, been there done that.

You have to get to a point where you could care less.

Because I promise you , one day, you'll just happen to look and see something that breaks your heart.

Spare yourself the hurt.

Stop looking now, while your ahead.

And no, the quote means diddly squat.

you could ask Jim Collins what the quote means.

your ex has her own life, and that life isn't revolving around posting vague things on facebook to make you think it's about you.

It could mean nothing, it could be them trying to sound more intelligent than they really are, or it could be mind games. Pick which one you like.

Okay.....here we go!

That quote is the first sentence in Jim Collins book about business called, " Good to Great: Why some Companies Make the Leap...and others don't" The book outlines several companies that transformed from good performances to great in about 15 years time and how they were able to accomplish this.

So, now you know about the quote.

Stay off her social media.

I'm certain everything your ex does revolves around you.

This is crazy lol. Why the hell do people stay friends with an ex on social media outlets? I swear some people are just gluttens for punishment...

I think it means she wants to get back together with you.

I've always viewed people, who post their little lives on the (social media) surveillance grid, as the greatest of all "losers".

Stop mind _ucking yourself bro, and LET GO! Tomorrow it will be alright.

Very destructive, the things people post, never cease to amaze me, how pathetic society is becoming. No one seem to notice the new prison walls, with HD cameras in every cell.

I absolutely agree, social media also referred to as selective media strategically creates a façade of an "ideal life" for attention seekers. I never understood the concept of exposing myself to the world. It operates more as a destructive apparatus not only to those experiencing a break up but further expands its poisonous objective to victims who decide to subscribe to it. I personally refrain from it's alluring uselessness.

No, people who use it incorrectly, are the problem. When used properly, social media is wonderful. When used to beat yourself over and over with a mallet, then it is destructive...

In this day and age, social media has morphed into a weapon of choice amongst attention seekers. I must admit I did have a fb account when it was available only to college students, however, that only lasted a few months until I realized how useless it was to me. I personally don't care to share myself with the world. And quiet honestly there is a ubiquitous misconceptions that people believe that others are highly interested in their dealings to the point that they need to post them online. As previously stated social media is not only detrimental to those who are going through a break up but also to other innocent bystanders. My humble opinion.

Oh boy, why do you check?? I've blocked my ex from everything, I want to feel like he's dead! Last week when he contacted me i felt the urge of checking his facebook and just in seeing he added tons of new girls i got almost insane. Are you a masochist?

The BEST and only effective way of getting over, truly working on ME right now, is to think they disappeared from this planet, which includes social media, phones, pictures... she died for you, period! I promise you will feel better!
