Looking at those pictures confirms what I believe and what that axe commercial says -- women are getting hotter.

Chuckling, though I do agree with the one about not getting too inebriated. I would not be amused.

Seems so though it might be the fashion. The 1970's were a terrible time for fashion and no one except maybe Racquel Welch looked beautiful then.

Fashion is definitely part of it. Now we have yoga pants :)

The cosmetic industry has also made some strides in makeup and hairstyles.

And more and more interracial couplings are making exotic looking sex kittens.

I am not sure if this was posted because it was meant to be funny, or what...

But with that said, I have to admit these rules are pretty good-- if you don't take them in a completely literal sense.

The jist is:

- Don't get drunk.

- Don't talk about other men.

- Don't talk TO other men (during the date).

- Stay away from certain conversation topics.

- Let the man be the lead.

- Let your man know he is appreciated (if you happen to actually like him).

I think think these are all rules that most of us try to follow anyway, regardless if you are a man or a woman. Most women WANT a man to be a leader, most men love having a woman show their interest. There are certain conversation topics that are simply not first date material (currently, religion/politics). Men and women both do not like to be jealous, and we can all agree that being drunk on the first date isn't always a great first impression.

Despite it being written 80 years ago, it's still a pretty good guide.
