Lessons I have learned from failed crushes... my pledges

-Overthink every little comment or gesture

-Overanalyze

-Put all my eggs in one basket

-Maintain my easy going no pressure sense of humor

-Act with as much confidence as I can

-Know that I am invaluable, regardless of how a girl views me

 

Hard lessons with the opposite sex that I have learned over the years, and prayerfully, my latest episode is the final "breakthrough A-HA" experience I needed to finally make the above all a living philosophy carried out in the flesh and in full.

 

Anyone feel what I'm saying here?

Yup, moreso reaffirming what I already knew deep deep down!

 

Luckily for me, I have been developing feelings for a new girl, and I can practice (or not practice non ones LOL) these principles.

 

Oh, here's another one: give and don't expect anything in return. Be very off the cuff, and casual. Let her come to you, don't be pestering her "hey you got my so and so?" If she appreciates your gesture enough, she will let you know eventually. The "cooler" a chick she is, the quicker she will get back to you. Kind of gives you a sense of where she's at, but also be careful as it might just be common courtesy. Again goes back to not overreading!

Indeed. Funny thing is, I've quoted this quote a lot the past half decade of my life:

It's easy not to do those things when you're a good-looking (or rich) guy who subsequently has a lot of options. For everyone else, it's just too easy to get excited when an attractive woman shows a sliver of interest in you. How can you avoid putting all your eggs in one basket when this might be the only basket you ever see? lol

I see nothing wrong with speed dating as you know:

 

-they are single

-they are looking for a relationship

 

and the funds go to a good cause.
