Phoe Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Well, I'm not too terribly creative but that sounds fine to me for a first date! I've personally never even been on a date like that, so it sounds to me like it's definitely not something most guys do.
carhill Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Given your age (early 30's IIRC), why not try an 'action' date instead? TBH, I was a 'dinner and drinks' kind of guy for years but, recently, some car buddies and I got together and played a couple rounds of miniature golf and I gotta say it was quite fun, as well as a challenge, and stimulating. Women like that kind of stuff, presuming they like you. There's plenty of room for humor, some teasing, physical touching and play, as well as banter. Then share a sundae afterwards at the local diner and talk until midnight. Now, I'm nearly twice your age so perhaps the advice is inappropriate, but it'll be on my mind the next time I'm looking to date someone.

Any tips for a first date Im a little rusty!!! It is all good thinking of really interesting things to do and perfectly fine to do so, but not on a first date in my opinion. It really does not matter i have found as it is all about you and the other person and it is the sole purpose of finding out if they are right for you and you right for them and worthy of a second date. Then you can spice things up. I like coffee, its a daytime activity, very relaxed and non confrontational. Also it is around people in public and noisy this means no awkward silences and gives you both a feeling of not being at a job interview like a quiet dinner can feel sometimes. If you hit it off at coffee you end the conversation with the possibility of dinner, 99% of the time worked for me. Good luck.
