I received an email from the ex this morning. First time contact since we ran into each other about a month ago. This seems like a really weird email and I'm not sure what the point of sending it to me was. I have some ideas but would like some other input on it.

As a side note, I did not respond but rather faked a mailor-daemon delivery failure. Very easy to do and unless your a way in the coding deep IT person you would never know the difference.

Anyhow, the jist of the email was she wished me well, which was nice. She informed me she was in love with another man she met since my no contact of 5 months led her to believe I didn't care anymore and that if we ran into each other again her request was the we ignore each other and not acknowledge each other at all.

I've had weird things said to me at breakups but this may take the cake.

What's the point of this? Am I missing something here?

She has some nerve, aren't you glad she is no longer part of your life? However, as previously stated pay no mind to it.

Complete waste of time to try to figure it out. Delete it and move forward.

the email have too many meanings depending on the person reading it.. it ranges from still caring to trying to show off. The more you think, the more you became confuse and the more you go haywire.. just ignore and move on with your new life...

What's the point of sending a message to you, after one month of NC, saying she's in love with someone else? NONE. She's probably trying to hurt you and draw some attention or ego boost. Ignore.

First of all, I want EVERYONE reading this to take note. THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT!!! You go no contact, you STAY no contact and you live your life. This is what many preach to new users here but most wont listen.

In terms of the e-mail, this is a straight up tug on the leash to see if you are still there pinning over her. She wants to see if you are still around just in case something doesnt work out with her "new love" Once you respond to it and give her the satisfaction of still being there, the feeling passes for her again and back to square one. What you did was just awesome and I commend you for it. Don't overthink this man because you are doing good!

LETS GO SEAHAWKS!! Only five days left until the Panthers are taken down!

Sounds like she's trying to guilt trip you and gloat at the same time. She wants you to believe that the reason that you guys never got back together is because you didn't reach out? Seriously? Communication works both ways and when someone really wants something, they do what it takes to achieve their goals. She didn't really want a reconciliation. She also goes on tell you that she has a new person and that you shouldn't talk to her if you ever encounter each other, who does that? Didn't she initiate with you when you had the last encounter?

She contacted you in order to request that you not contact her? :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

I am so glad I no longer have to date...this just sounds illogical.

Good luck,

Grumps

Loved your responses.

It is in fact highly illogical that she sent me this. I am not sure if it was to get a rise out of me or to inflict a little pain. She was infact the one to initiate contact when we ran into each other a month or so ago.

I am learning that her thing is she is very confused about more than I could ever help or understand. I think her head is a cyclone of thoughts.

If she is truly in love, then I hope it all works out for the best. It would be nice to know she is off living a happy life somewhere.

In any case I slept like a baby last night so I guess it was not a big deal in the end for me. :D

She was just easing her guilt. She with someone else and she was feeling guilty on how things ended. She used your NC as a way to justify in her head that it's okay for her to be with someone else because "you don't care".

Stupid really. Just ignore and move on.
