MrCastle Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 What is it that makes a face attractive to you? Is there anything in particular you look for? I know symmetry is a subconscious thing, but what else? Is it eyes more than anything else? Cheeks? A defined jaw? I think nose is a big factor although rarely talked about when it comes to attraction. I realized most women I would consider very attractive have either cute little button noses, or very straight, thin noses. It's not something I consciously look for or seek in a mate, but there does seem to be a pattern I guess. Anyways, what attracts you most about a face?
Clockwork Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Definitely the eyes and the smile. So, the teeth I guess. That can more than make up for any other flaw. 1
Author MrCastle Posted September 3, 2013 Author Posted September 3, 2013 Definitely the eyes and the smile. So, the teeth I guess. That can more than make up for any other flaw. Smile is good too. I'm weird though. I don't need perfect teeth. As long as they're not hideous, I don't mind crooked teeth, as long as they're not yellow. Sometimes girls with crooked teeth have the cutest smiles Sometimes perfect teeth scare me. Like the girl has literally no physical flaws anywhere. A bit intimidating sometimes. 2
Bigcitydreamer Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 If I had to pick I would probably agree with teeth, and also overall none structure. For me personally there isn't one particular trait I'm drawn too. For example I dated a guy that I found to be stunning who had a small bit of a snaggle tooth and it didn't matter one bit. My bf has perfect teeth but a bit of a crooked nose. The only thing that these 2 guys have in common in their face was that I was attracted both times. Both have nice none structure though. In fact the more I think about I think that bone structure might be the most important for me! Doesn't need to be chiseled but just symmetrical definition in the right spots.
RogerWallace111 Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 (edited) I've tried analyze my attraction to certain faces many times... It seems I have any interesting taste in them. I often times have been called "picky" or told I have high standards because I don't get thrilled by just any theoretically attractive, small-featured face. Which many if not most guys do. Typically, show a guy a girl of normal weight with a small nose and normally-proportioned features, and he'll be attracted to her. It's not so simple for me. I'm more of a fan of what I'd describe as unique beauty/cuteness. I generally prefer smaller/more feminine features, but there are plenty of larger-nosed faces I'd take over the generically beautiful eastern european super model's any day. And I love beautiful women, don't get me wrong. It's just-for example- I wouldn't necessarily look twice at Natalie Portman, Rachel McAdams or Megan Fox, who I know are all beautiful women that guys absolute lust over. But give me Christina Ricci or or this chick http://thefashion-court.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/lizzy-caplan-in-dg-rachel-zoe-the-campaign-la-premiere.png and I'd be in heaven. Who are I know most would consider attractive in an objective sense, just saying. I'd say I prefer a small-ish noses, though little buttons aren't my thing. And prominently up-turned noses have always been a turn off to me, honestly. A straight nose somewhere between above a mini button and below "big" sounds great. Also a sucker for green eyes. And find brown eyes so dark that they just look homogeneously black to be a turn-off. Full/well-shaped lips are a huge plus. I often really like dark (but not big) eyebrows. Beyond that, I can't think of any particulars that do much either way in terms of my attraction to a face. Not a big fan of cleft chins but it is what it is! So yeah... I thought my best facial feature were my eyes, but after working out all summer, my jawline for whatever has gotten more box like. I guess it's the increase in testosterone? I don't know. I just look much more masculine than before and have noticed myself getting checked out more. My chin is very sharp and my jaw is square. I think it looks manly. Now I'm not so sure my eyes are the main feature. 1

Beyond that, I can't think of any particulars that do much either way in terms of my attraction to a face. Not a big fan of cleft chins but it is what it is! So yeah... Yeah I'm the same. I've said many times when it comes to physical attraction I place face above and beyond anything else. Flatness doesn't phase me, height one way or the other doesn't phase me, hair color doesn't phase me, ethnicity doesn't phase me. But a good looking face, whoa. I often talk on here about my love of booties, but for all that love, all my favorite Hollywood women are skinny. Alba, Kunis, Klum, Scarjo, etc. All different hair colors and ethnicities but to me they all have killer faces. I am a sucker for green and blue eyes, probably because they are so rare, but mainly, the size and shape of the eyes are more important to me. I have tried to find a commonality in the women I find attractive but facially, I can't. They all look different, but if I were to show people pictures of them, I think everyone would agree their faces are their best features. 1
todreaminblue Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 eyes and smile......captures my attention...i cant even remember the noses maybe they dont have them..deb 1
candie13 Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Eyes - expression when they look at you. Lips are very important - not too big, not too thin. Firm. Nicely drawn. 2
pteromom Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Smile is #1 thing. Nice teeth and a genuine smile. Sparkly crinkly eyes to go with the smile. Also, opposing your female view of noses, I find I am more attracted to men with more prominent noses. I don't like tiny noses on guys. And I like thinner lips. I don't find large lips attractive. But someone's face can definitely become more or less attractive as I get to know them. 1
tuxedo cat Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 I'm a sucker for white guys who have Asian looking eyes: Heath Ledger, River Phoenix, Ezra Miller. 1

Although maybe it is sexually related as men probably imagine her giving them a blowjob and I am not into blowjobs so. But someone's face can definitely become more or less attractive as I get to know them. Oh that goes without saying. The more I like a girl, the hotter I find her and I even find her "flaws" charming and unique. But if we have a falling out she looks like a troll. 1

Silly_Girl Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 My friends say I go for big noses. They lost me one New Years Eve a long time ago and I caught them measuring the noses of tall men with short dark hair to try and track down who I'd copped off with. Most men failed the test because their noses were too small. I like good skin and stubble.

carhill Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 What Do You Find Attractive About A Face? Interesting.... I was watching an old Star Trek TNG episode yesterday, one which starred an old movie star, Jean Simmons, in an unpleasant role; however, I couldn't get my gaze off her eyes and lips while watching, even as an older (60's at that time) woman. Once it occurred that I was doing this, I went back and googled some old studio/glamour shots of her when young and it was apparent why those features caught my attention. This isn't unusual for me, over the decades, so I'd opine eyes and lips are likely the most attractive aspects of a person's face that I notice. 1

thefooloftheyear Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 On a woman, I do NOT like hard and sharp features...Dimples are cute. Those stupid puffy lips that some women are paying to do...ugh..Gross as hell...hate big noses.... And if she has "crazy eyes"...Im running as fast and as far as I can.. TFY 2
Lokie Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 If I had to answer, I'd say I find Eyelashes and lips/smile are sexiest to me. But this is why OLD is so tough for me. I'm really attracted to how a man walks, moves, sits, laughs - if I get a lust hit through that, the face is secondary. 1
smile1983 Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Smile and I usually go for guys with round baby-face's rather than sharp chiseled features. 1
FemmeMystere Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 I'm definitely a face person, so how a person's face looks plays a huge part in my attraction to them. I like facial features that are chiseled, but somewhat soft, and full lips. I tend to be very attracted to Asian men (Japanese, Korean, Thai, Chinese). Smooth, clear skin is a must, no facial hair. Dimples are a turn-on, and a dazzling white smile always catches my eye. I've pretty much described my current boyfriend. He's almost perfectly my "type" looks-wise
Nikki Sahagin Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 I love dimples on a man. Nice eyes and a nice mouth. Defined features. Dark eyes and hair and tanned skin. Well defined face. Something sexy about him. Personality through the face. I'm really attracted to Med men and Asian (Korea, Thai.) I also like SOME white men. Generally I'm not attracted to Indian, Middle Eastern (unless they look darker Euro and are westernised in mindset) or African men. Don't know why. 1
amaysngrace Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 I'm all about the eyes and the smile. 1
ThisGal Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Smile, I can't get past horrible teeth (yellow, very crooked, extras), a little flaw is fine. I can't do extremely thin lips, mine are naturally full (his does not have to be this full but string lips scare me). My b/f's lips are somewhat full. Don't care for eye color, hair color, etc.
