Philosoraptor Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Well then don't invite them to your house to a movie. Ta da Helps you weed out the ones looking for a quick lay anyways. 1
Author mammasita Posted September 3, 2013 Author Posted September 3, 2013 Well then don't invite them to your house to a movie. Ta da Helps you weed out the ones looking for a quick lay anyways. I never do. Always their idea and it makes me stare blankly into space and never speak to them again 1
TB Rhine Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Had a female acquaintance tell me once that she invited a guy over to watch a movie, and he declined on the grounds that he felt he would have 'boner issues.' (Not sure if those were his words or hers... ) 5
AHaze Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Sure he wants to meet at your house... but the movie part, you can take that with a pinch of salt. A movie in the last thing in his mind.
KathyM Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 If you're not planning to be sexual with them for awhile, it's probably a good idea to keep the dating to outside venues, and avoid your place or his place as a dating location. Of course, you know this. And as the other poster said, it's a good way to weed out those only looking for a quick lay. 1
MrCastle Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 <---fails to see problem with "quick lay." 2
phineas Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 <---fails to see problem with "quick lay." Agree, But I leave it up to the woman to suggest movie night early on. I like to avoid one-on-one alone time at someone's house until I'm sure I won't get pepper sprayed. 1
Lokie Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Even as a grown ass woman myself, I have fallen for this a couple times. I come from a couple of communities where men and women can be nonsexual friends (as IF! ;-). One time I went running from his house as he was boner naked, the other, well, he was sexy and it'd been a while.... *blush* But at least now I know what it's code for and can make an informed decision!
crederer Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 (edited) He invited himself to your house to watch a movie? That's odd. didn't you just make a post saying you're back with your ex? Same guy or different guy? It's all about context. Sorry, missed the bolded text. Ya that's weird. Edited September 4, 2013 by crederer
