I am 22 and I would really like to be married before I turn 26. I have never been on a date and I am still a virgin. I am not open to hooking up, flings or co-habitating with someone. Living with someone for years before being married is just not an option for me and something I am not willing to compromise on. I just don't see the point in dating for years without getting married, I value marriage, it's not just "a piece of paper" to me and I can't change my views on that.

I want to begin dating with marriage in mind, if a relationship is a year and a half or longer and there is no proposal then I am done. How can I meet men that are looking for marriage? I am not religious so church is not really an option for me. I am not willing to budge on any of this, "just waiting for the right one" indefinately is just a waste of time to me. I don't want to be 35 and still looking for a husband.

First I see nothing wrong with your stance on marriage and not "fooling" around. If that is what you believe stay true to that. My advice though don't set goals like I want to be married by the time I am 26. Just my opinion but I think that is setting yourself up for disappointment. There is nothing wrong with waiting for the right person don't compromise on that just becaue you want to be married. My next piece of advice is when you do date don't overthink it just try to enjoy yourself and get to know them. Sometimes it might take a little while to get to know somebody. Just relax you are very young and there is no hurry. The best advice I can give you is do not rush into marriage. Get to know them very well first become friends with them and see where it goes.

OK, I will try to take things slowly, I just don't see the point of dating for years on end without getting married though.
