jncapital1 Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 I met a wonderful woman and we dated for three months before she broke it off with no real explanation. She's 33, two cute 6 yr olds and a widow of three years. We were both very excited about the future together and then she just faded away. I think part of the reason we broke up was that I was struggling a bit financially but even more so that hurt my confidence. We spent a lot of time together for those three months and she said she hadn't let many guys that close, if any since her husband died. I think we spent too much time with the girls as a family and not enough time going on dates, and being alone. We got a long great, the sex was great although it slowed down at the end, and we always communicated well until the end. The relationship was too much on her terms, which was partly my fault due to lack of confidence and excitement about being with her. If we were together again, there would have to be some re-balancing. Since our breakup I have maintained no contact. I am dramatically improving my situation and my confidence is growing again. Here's my question: since we do not travel in the same circles, how do I get her to take notice of my changes? I'm pretty confident she would be excited about the changes. I do think we have long term potential and could be "the one". So when do I contact her and how do I do it? Or don't I?
TaraMaiden Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Answer: You don't. You perceive your confidence was the issue. Believe me, it had nothing to do with it. The fact is, frankly? You stopped floating her boat. Sorry, but really? - leave it. Trust me on this one.
joe86 Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Yeah, it sucks, but if she wants to come back, she will. You've just got to carry on as you are.
StyleOnEm Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Do you have a facebook? I would post updates there (public view) if that's what your plan really is. Other than that, there's not much you can do except look forward instead of backwards.
