Well, went out on a date with a woman this evening, a lot of things in common, same "geeky" interests, a bit more even keeled than the previous "geeky" girls I've met...at least so far.

She was all for seeing me again in the middle of next week after I get off work, so we already have something set up.

She even contacted me when I got home to see if I made it home okay, and I replied in kind.

The only thing I have going for me is

She was JUST about to delete her online dating profile when I had JUST emailed her in the nick of time. Apparently she had been utterly frustrated with the perverts, wierdos, married men, scammers...a lot of them wanting to get laid...you know...the typical online dating stuff that women get irritated with.

She had been extremely frustrated and was just about to say good-bye to online dating for a good while.

So just like Indiana Jones I swooped in under the closing door in the nick of time to get her interest in me to correspond with, talk on the phone, and garner a date.

So that would count as an incentive for her to continue to see me.

So, it seems that I'm the best she can do at this point, so we'll see if she follows through and keeps in touch between now and the time of our 2nd date.

Otherwise, I might say soyanora to online dating myself.

Well that's a good sign that she called you after the date was over and not text. I haven't had a successful 1st date since 2011 lol

I always feel that it's a 95% chance u will get a second date if you both talk on the phone after the date is over

Let us know how it goes.

Actually, she did text me, but I don't see how that is relevant. We kind of mix up talking on the phone and texting. I've had a woman CALL me after I got home, only to never get a 2nd date with her (this happened inthe past) so it's a moot subject.

And that's why I always hated the whole dating thing because why did that woman need to know you arrived home safely if she never planned on talking to you again?

Just makes no sense

Sounds like it went great! It's a good sign she's over OLD because I think people get caught up in the huge selection. Good luck!

Tell her to delete her account now. I mean you don't want her keeping it open if you have her phone number and she was about to delete it any ways.

I don't think anyone has the right to tell anyone what to do after only one date.

This would probably be counterproductive anyway - it could very easily be interpreted as a controlling and insecure move on his behalf, and rightfully so IMO.

Even though I have successful dates, I sometimes continue to contact other women while I'm seeing some of these women in person for the first time, just to get "back ups" in case they decide to flake.

They all say that.

I'm exaggerating... but see if she follows through with it, because they often don't.

Glad you had a good date!

Try not to go into a second date with the "I'm the best she could do" attitude. She'll pick up on it.

Good luck!

If I do get a 2nd date with her, then I won't be going in with that attitude now would I? lol

No, I hope not. Stick with Indiana Jones or a superhero theme. ;)
