She said she wants to be friends

So. I've been dating this girl for about 4 months or so, started off hot and heavy lots of sex but good dates dinners shows cuddling kissing holding each other. She said she fell in love with me and done so much to show it, she would call every day and text all the time. She also said she wanted me to call her and text her first now? Meaning I guess why she stopped calling

 

So a few weeks ago she says she thinks its all about the sex, I say it's not she goes cold and distant. We go out a few times things are ok but im confused. So she asks me out for dinner last week and bails and says sorry. She said she had fallen in love with me and could not stop thinking about me, she showed so much love while we were together. I don't get why it just stopped?

 

Is ask her to meet up to talk and she replys back right away. I was not sure if she knew I loved her.

 

So I tel her last night I love her and all that stuff I look her in the eyes and say it she looks in to mine and not looking away so she gets emotional when I say it. She tells me she just wants to be friends? I'm like I don't know, when I said that she got all scared and looked like she was gonna cry. She says she was not sure why we broke up either, she tried to say it was cause of her daughter and work but no idea.

 

She asked me what I wanted for her to, I said to have a relationship

 

So I ask can we still hang out and she says yeah, so I ask her do do something on the weekend and she says she is busy, I got upset and just walked away I know mistake I made. I was gonna leave without saying goodbye, then she calls me back and I said I'm ok with being friends she then asks for a big hug, she pulls me close and hugs me tight.

 

So when I get home, I send text saying I'm cool with things, she then says aww glad your home ok, with a few x. She stopped putting x in the text since she went cold now there back?

 

She sends another text with aww thank you with more x

Then she sends one outa the blue with ill see you soon x

 

I don't know if she wants to see me or what, but she had not text like this in quite awhile

 

Is she just trying to be nice now that we are friends ?

 

Do I just be her friend ?

She's made it clear, with both words and action, that this is not a relationship and is just sex. You need to decide if you are ok with that. If so, have fun. If not, cut ties and find someone who wants the same thing you do.

The reason why she's texting like that is because the pressure is off. You know where you stand with her and you shouldn't confuse those texts because you're only just friends (that least, that's probably what's going through her head)
