truth_seeker Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 I've been having friction with a couple of people and the nastiness has turned very ugly. They're on my Facebook and am not sure to remove them. If I do, mutual friends will start asking what's up. I'm concerned it will cause more harm than good. Leave them there or delete them?
Tony T Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Facebook is not an important enough connection to put up with drama. If after notice somebody continues to be annoying or argumentative, drop them like a hot potato. Now, you can also block somebody rather than unfriend them. That would be an option if you just want a vacation from them. You can unblock them anytime and, if they haven't unfriended you in the meantime, you can go back to being friends. Don't put up with any crap on Facebook. If people aren't kind and courteous in a consistent fashion, just get rid of them. Life is too short. And PLEASE, don't take Facebook so seriously!!! It wasn't even around seven or eight years ago.

I figured they would delete me, but the girl is actually climbing my favorites list. One friend said she is all over my page. FB stalking me. What do I do?
love1336x Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Uh are you being serious with this? ITS YOUR FACEBOOK. If people ask tell them what's going go... that freaken simple... It's a click of a botton. And if not well simply deactivate your own facebook until crap cools down.
Author truth_seeker Posted August 31, 2013 Author Posted August 31, 2013 I deleted everyone. F--k them. Don't need losers in my life.
mea_M Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Truth, Just un friend and block if you are annoyed. FB is so not real life. Half of what you see is not true anyway. Think about it. How many happy posts do you few that state. I'm so happy. My life is perfect. My kids are the best. Oh please. These are lonely people and when I say lonely I mean lonely at heart. Don't let facebook get to you. Remember face to face interaction is the real deal. That's what counts. Good luck. Mea :-)
ChristopherRobin Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Removing them was the right thing to do. If you aren't getting along with someone and they can't keep it out of public view (ie. Facebook) then it is time to take your power back and remove them from your friends list.
mea_M Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 I deleted everyone. F--k them. Don't need losers in my life. Well good for you! :)I did not see your post before I posted to you.
Author truth_seeker Posted August 31, 2013 Author Posted August 31, 2013 They were friends on my Facebook but things happened in real life. They did some nasty things towards me. I didn't want them to know what I was doing, see what they're doing on my feed. I felt they're not my friends, get lost. I did like one of them - a girl - but she turned into a jerk and it was best to delete her.
The Outlaw Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 You've made the right call. FB is overrated and immature to boot, and you're better off without any added drama. And you can always block or delete your account and start fresh if you're interested in doing so.

As for the mutual friends, if they are true friends of yours, they won't get involved and stay out of it, not pick sides or get into it period.
