britt1701 Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 I have a crush on a co-worker and for a while I have been wondering if he feels he same way. The problem is that I have been down this road before where I was certain the guy liked me but it turns out he just liked me as friend. What are some signs to look for? What is something he would do that a good friend wouldn't do?
Onward_Upward Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Speaking as a man, I might be able to offer some insights: If he really likes you, he will: Seek you out with fair regularity, and try to spark up conversations with you. He will offer you sincere smiles (You know, those ones with the sparkle in the eye ) He may touch you lightly on your forearm or shoulder during certain discussions (when appropriate! ... say, if one of you has said something funny) He may ask you out to lunch, or for a coffee (e.g. Wanna go for a cuppa?) - Come to think of it... Women will often do all this as well, when they like a bloke. So, it applies across the board, really. Please note though: if he is a shy man, or if he thinks you are not into him, then he may carry out none of the above... In this case, you should simply continue what you are doing presently. Keep the conversations up, and I would suggest that YOU ask him if he wants to "go for a cuppa"? And if he says, "no" consistently, without an apparently "valid" reason, then you can safely say that he just "isn't that into you"
Star Gazer Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 He will ask you out on a date or date-like activity. 1
Onward_Upward Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 P.S No man on the face of this planet would REFUSE an invitation (for anything!), from a female he truly likes
Dzlez Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 He will ask you out on a date or date-like activity. This. Its pretty simple, we don't play games. If we like you, we will ask you out. 3
AHaze Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 P.S No man on the face of this planet would REFUSE an invitation (for anything!), from a female he truly likes Funny. I rejected a girl I really like a couple of weeks ago... I've only just got my life back on track after losing a girl I was in love with last year and I'm not interested in getting involved with women right now. I didn't give her a reason, we were talking almost every day and eventually she asked what it was leading to and what I was waiting for?... I just told her she's got it wrong, she hasn't spoken to me since. Truth is she is GORGEOUS and I do really like her, but I'm focused man I've got plans for the very near future and women are not part of the plan for the time being... The type of guys who would NEVER reject anything he likes... or reject anything at all for that matter, are the type of guys who never have the opportunity to reject anyway, it's called desperation.
sillyanswer Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 He will ask you out on a date or date-like activity. Yes this! Except they are co-workers... and many guys would hold back because of that in cases where otherwise they would otherwise just ask. britt1701, Are there opportunities for seeing him outside the office such as after-work beers with colleagues? How do you interact when that happens?
phineas Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 He will ask you out on a date or date-like activity. Not if he has to work with her & is afraid of awkwardness from seeing her afterword. The best way to do the work thing is for either of you to ask the other if they are going to the next planned happy hr. at least, this is how the women at work do it with me. They really have no choice because i refuse to ask out co-workers any more.
Joaquin Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Girls that really really do it for me give me an uncontrollable boner anytime i go near them. It can be embarrassing if they notice.
Harradin Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 I go red whenever I'm around them, get all soppy and start complimenting them like its no tomorrow. I eventually ask them out, but being shy it takes me a little while to rack up the courage!
tbf Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 He will ask you out on a date or date-like activity.This. Guys who are really into you don't play flirtation chicken.
