Evidently people can search online for divorce court records of almost anyone. What exact documents are viewable through these search engines and/or by walking into the court clerk's office? Is it just the basic info (names, dates, etc.) and the decree? Or can you view the entire full-length transcript?

Was there an appeal that was filed and ruled?

In my county all public records are posted online, even divorce cases and all the filings in those cases... criminal as well

The only thing I have seen not scanned in is documents directly related to minors, although I have seen many documents with minors names etc etc get scanned in as the filing is public.

I do also know that the documents are not cataloged by search engines, they are blocked out

I was just asking in general out of curiosity, but in my case I don't think any appeal was filed and ruled. Not sure what you mean.

I forgot to add, in my county the exact document that is filed is scanned in.. signature pages and all.. and NO info is allowed to be redacted as it is public info.

The docs on the minors have just a mention of the filing but no .tif of the doc to look at

Hmm, that seems strange. In my case my wife made all kinds of accusations against me (the worst of which was child abuse). It just stinks that people can search for this and hear it all--even though it was disproven. You know what they say about accusations: even when false, they still stick and do damage. I guess court hearings are open to public when they happen, so the transcripts are also public domain.

Well, the disproving will also be there for all to see, as well as your charges against her.

Why are you even worrying about this? Who wants to search out the details of other peoples' divorces, anyway?

You'd be surprised, lol.

The official disproving (via CPS) will not be viewable in the context of the divorce records. They are separate documents. Anyway, anyone who has been the target of wildly nasty accusations knows firsthand that, even when you have been validated by the courts, you have still suffered reputation damage. That's all I'm saying.

And for the record, I made no charges against her regarding the violence. I actually didn't even press charges.

Anyway, thanks.
