Am I jaded? Does it seem like a push away for ladies that I say these things? Am I being too hard on my friends?

Nah. You're not jaded. You just know what you want and what you don't want. I got the lecture this weekend about how he already has someone he's head over heals for, and I should be looking for someone, too, so I'll feel better. No matter how much I told them I have NO interest in dating (I'm not even divorced, for crying out loud!) and won't for a very long time. When I am ready, I know who I'll be looking for. If he doesn't exist, I'll happily go without.

I guess friends and loves ones just think that, to be happy, you must be with someone. I've never been so happy NOT being with someone (haven't been alone since 19) and I haven't yet begun! Cheers to singlehood-dom!!

That being said, I was devastated that he brought his new gf to meet the family yesterday, so I went on a shopping spree! Bought the Nutribullet in continuation of my "Screw you! It's all about me!" Phase.

Nutribullet sounds like a fun time to me!:p

I hope it works...whatever it may be.;)

New gf? Yeah that's a little tough,I really don't think it matters who the STBXWW is with-I just don't care anymore.I'm simply happy it's not REVITUP!

When I look back at the old pictures (not ruminating just accidental) I really don't know why I thought she was all that pretty.I really don't think it was about the outside-just what I "wanted" so badly for STBXWW to be on the "inside".

It's just a fantasy! My own fantasy came back to bite me.

Rev is now a writer! My first article in a series will be published today.

I never in a million years would have thought about being a writer! Why in the world would anyone think of writing? I saw writers as either weirdos or intellectuals who bore you to death with their analytic personalities. The writers are always eccentric or wacky in my mind anyway. So why do it?

Hemingway-Watching how wacky he was and how he loved to fish offshore changed my mind about writers but there was another reason,a big one.

Rev is the ONLY person who can write this story because he is the only one who has lived it and the only one who was stupid enough to keep digging and visiting NC Archives, register of deeds offices and tracking down leads for interviews and such.I am just that determined.

I have been assaulted while obtaining public records (learned about F.O.I.A) and also have now filed a Civil lawsuit in Superior Court! I now know about open meetings laws, public information laws and political status quo.

A learning journey that has led me into some strange places.Rev knows his HERITAGE now as a result of getting out of his comfort zone and standing up to the powers and principalities in high places.

It's good to be alive today.

Oh my! I am not a writer by trade, but am in the process of writing a book and have had articles published in local papers. I'm also accused of being too analytical. My analytical mind tends to lean toward the comedic side of things, however. Maybe that makes me less of a bore? Lol

Congrats on your quest, though, REV!!!

Alright! Two writers :)

Vla- I'm analytically inclined as well! I also see the humor in almost anything. It's normal for me to search out the truth in anything I read.I'm a skeptic about it until I know for sure.

My book-it's been written for the last two years-I did it in emails which document this entire mission. It's been painful and yet exciting to find truth buried right in front of other's faces.

I love Will Rogers' writing and attitude in general! I hope to be as big a pain in the azz for politicians as he was!

Okay folks,REVITUP is a nervous wreck today.I am pacing like an expectant father!

My very first article is almost published....hours away.It will be National news and you will know my identity when it hits.I am not kidding but it feels very Narcissistic to say it! I guess I have read too much about BPD and NBPD over the months.

I am not a writer at all,the publisher/editor has amazed me by making me look like one. It's like magic how she has made it all flow, making it hard hitting and compelling as well. She has done her job!

I am at a strange place with this,I really want to rub it into the STBXWW's face by sending it to her...but I WILL NOT.STBXWW made fun of me for chasing this dream and she will find out when she finds out and if she finds out.I no longer care.I want that VALIDATION that comes from ME knowing I did it!

Anyway, after a weekend of blues like emotions outta nowhere,it feels good to be where I am today.A proud father to DD15 and a darn good person.Happy and excited with "butterflies" for the first time in years.

Rev has been silent about some things and now like a lightning bolt it will come to the surface.

Just thankful for all of your help in getting here.:)

Very good write up, it's amazing how many corrupt politicians and business institutions there are out there. It's a shame they don't have a Corruptions Perception Index by state like they do by country (Transparency International). Not surprised these days to see the good old USA slipping down the index on being less corrupt than other countries. Happens right in our own backyards in small towns too.

Good job Rev!!

VERY IMPRESSIVE, REV!! Congrats! I look forward to following the story as you continue to uncover the ignored injustices! You should be so very proud of yourself and your evolution from your first post out here to where you are today. You are an inspiration!

Congratulations Rev!!! Absolutely wonderful news and beaming with pride you should be too.

I am so very excited and happy that you are realizing joy and a sense of accomplishments....your list of wins just keeps on growing.:D

Sweeter the victory, because the back-drop of this madness can make it damn hard at times to focus on things we enjoy.

Isn't it amazing to recieve praise and appreciation, rather than negative feedback.

Glad the blues have gone away....enjoy the sunshine.

So here is the question I have today....

What do I do with my wedding band?

What cool ideas have you guys heard about?

REVITUP-New and improved

Rev, firstly, I heart you , friend. :)

Second...if there are any negative feelings to that band.. I would somehow have it made or welded into the side of the bathroom tissue holder. That way every time you feel the need to release bowels, part of the holder will be the wedding band.

Just a thought. :)

Btw, just read!! G R A T S!!!! Very very happy for you. Big hugs.

Thank you all for these responses. They are validation. They are confirmation (to me at least) that there are caring people in the world.People who have a sense of compassion and caring people. This helps me more than you know.:)

I realize the post isn't about marriage, infidelity or the pain of divorce. It's about the pot o' gold at the end. More importantly it's about the FACT we can enjoy the process and grow stronger in the middle of tragedy.Tragedy we didn't deserve and pain we didn't cause.

I'm glad to call you my friends. It would have been better if we all met at the beach on a fishing trip or at home while having a BBQ but we met here. Not by our own choice but because it is what it is.

I intend to make the best of every situation in my life every day!It doesn't matter what happens,REV will find a way to get a win from it.I will learn something about me and about life in every crisis. You can too.

What happens.....happens to us all! Today WE won! We all won!

I love the movie "The Edge" in it , Anthony Hopkins says "What one man can do,another can do,I'm gonna kill the bear, today I'm gonna kill the M#$%##Fuu%^R "! He killed the bear!:)

My hope is that we all go out and "kill the bear". We will do what many before us have done before, overcome adversity with strength and courage but more importantly-with our friends.

Air hugs to all.

I am feeling so grateful for my health and life today.

I received a call from a Charter Captain friend of mine a few minutes ago.It starts with my fishing buddy asking if I knew where our other fishing buddy was in the hospital about to die?

I don't know.I could have called fishing buddy number three but he is in back surgery today!

Then Charter buddy one (37 years old) tells me he has been diagnosed with throat cancer after a biopsy this week! His neighbor is dying of cancer and his dad has liver issues and lung cancer.

Wow!

DD15's art teacher is in chemo as well.

The buddy number two had been bit by a spider and the hospital lanced the bite giving him MRSA! He has died on the table once from this and is also battling something to do with his gall bladder! This buddy is sixty but played hard in early life!

Fishing buddy number FIVE ( 38 yrs old and hard life before) is waiting for a biopsy of his liver-he destroyed it yrs ago but has prospered and been healthy for many yrs now.

I just don't know hat to think today.

REV is so grateful for my DD15,my problems with STBXWW,my everything.Grateful Grateful Grateful.

P.S. our 77 year old commercial fishing buddy/Captain is the man who called buddy one-77 yr old is stronger than the HULK and in great condition,I wouldn't want to fight this dude ever and I'm not kidding.

Oh yeah, My 37 yr old buddy with throat cancer and a beautiful little wife who adores him and is a wonderful girl said this "I just finished half of the work on the offshore Scarab,I just don't want to leave my wife with a boat half-way done".

His wife will be there no matter what life brings for her man!She is wonderful.

It breaks my heart for them both and made me angry about the spouses who take their faithful mates for granted, real mad.
