Thing is, that the issues were still there and once that new honeymoon period was gone it went downhill again. Unless the relationship's dynamic changes, it will continue to fail for the same reasons it failed before. 1
SadPanda22 Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 Yes, I had a relationship that dragged on (and on and on and on) for nearly 8 years. We broke up and got back together at least 6 times (talk about flogging a dead horse). Everytime we got back together we had the same issues as before. He always promised that things would be different, that he would be a better boyfriend...but nothing ever changed. None of the reconcilations were worth it AT ALL. I regret that I repeatedly allowed him back into my life. I had a choice, and boy did I choose wrong. What an absolute waste of time and energy. We finally broke up for good about a year and a half ago. I haven't spoken to him since.
