What a great thread!

I'm ecstatic lately. Getting married in less than 3 months to the man of my dreams! I am thankful that we have managed to make it through the planning process so far without any stress or tension between us (it helps that we're both laid back and able to make decisions easily). I am also really looking forward to seeing all of our family and friends in the same place at the same time!

We are taking a delayed honeymoon to Aruba after Christmas, and then hoping to buy a house in January or February! I'm enjoying work and received all A's this semester, despite my heavy workload. My fiancé just got nominated for an administrative position at his hospital that is normally held by people 25+ years his senior, and I'm so proud! All in all, couldn't be better. :)

Oooh, I'll play:

- I have the best boyfriend ever! We've been together over a year now, and it's still awesome! We're definitely still in the honeymoon stage, and we're loving it!

- Shopped for some clothes deeply discounted, yay! And 4 new pairs of shoes, 1 pair of flats, 1 pair of stilettos, 1 pair of rocking new boots for fall and a pair of comfy walking shoes!

- Have 2 teens, and they're so different but I love them! One's going to college and one's a senior. I'm both dreading and looking forward to the transition to an empty nester =)

- Excited for my career as well...I just applied to a very exciting position in my company which would give higher pay, new opportunities, and new challenges! I'm feeling positive vibes I'm gonna get the offer!

Oh this thread is awesome!

I'm happy about everything! The sun is shining in my city today, its warm but not sweltering like it was in June and July.

I'm meeting my bf in 20 minutes. We're going for coffee, then we're going to drive down to a quiet parking lot we discovered and have sexy time. :D Nobody ever goes there, its a beautiful place, far away from civilization and we can be as loud as we want! :D

I'm going to Vegas for a vacay with my family, on a road trip next Wednesday for a week. I'me excited for school because my classes are going to be good ones, my bff is coming back from Australia and I haven't seen her in the past 4 months, and we've planned swimming dates and workout dates and Tim Hortons dates!

Life is just great!

Happy to finally have the judge signed papers!

Totally psyched about this 98 corolla I just bought. It has a stick shift. It makes me sooo happy.

Floating around with a smile cause this silly man thinks I'm awesome and considers me to be his best friend (he says after almost a year) and we got to chatter away with others and hang out till almost 1 this morning.

I get to be a stay at home mom to my kiddos still, my house is about to be refinanced.

My kids are all smiling, happy things

I woke up in a bed this morning rather than on concrete (not that I've ever woken up on concrete). I have food in my fridge, clothes on my back, and a roof over my head. I have a fan blowing on me.

I love my fan toooooooooo. I love my life. I ate blueberries off my husbands back yesterday while he was napping.....he smelled so good. We had blueberries all over the bed and floor and stuck to him. He woke up asking me why our room smelled like blueberries.

Hahaa!! That's so cute :). I always joke with my husband that I want to use his lower back dimples as gravy bowls to dip fried chicken in. Blueberries would be healthier :D.

I'm happy I have clean clothes, lots of fresh water, food in my tummy, a working AC unit, and a baby that's healthy and very close to being born.

To expand on the AC... Before we moved in we were assured we had central heating and air (kinda important with a new baby). Well, turns out everyobe in our building uses window units (not efficient for a two bedroom apartment with a 12' ceiling in the living room).

So naturally I complained and an AC guy was sent down here. WELL...something was wrong with our gauge. So the entire time we've lived here it's as if our AC was being used, but we weren't getting a cool house!!

So he fixed ours then inspected the other apartments. Same thing... These other people have lived here for years and 1) never complained 2) been using window units, and 3) were grossly over paying for power since their meters were constantly running for something they weren't using!!!

Madness :confused::mad:!!

In A thousand words.....

have you ever just loved all the little things,

like just a snowflake that winter brings,

that perches on your nose?

have you ever just thought of little things,

when the winds of change blow,

have you ever smiled for no reason,

in the middle of the day,

do you often think of little things,

when stress rues your heart to stray,

do you spot the little things that brighten up your day,

i am grateful for every little thing is all that i can say...

i am thankful for so many things more than a thousand words,

i am grateful to god above in all i have seen and more than i have heard,

for the seconds the hours the days the years,

for the all the frowns, the smiles and i am thankful for the tears,

in all the little things that weave in and out of the fabric of my day,

that make me smile and feel blessed whatever comes my way ......

I actually have, a couple times (well, there was a really thin mattress on the concrete, but really I doubt it made much of a difference, cause it felt exactly like sleeping on concrete....). You wake up halfway through the night with your bones all aching.

I'm definitely grateful for my bed, too. ;)

Bought one of those activity jumpers for our son and he loves it. He was playing away earlier but kept checking I was still near him, would grin at me and then go back to playing.

I'm a newbie here so this is my first post. :)

I'm happy because my boyfriend of 2+ years asked me about jewelry/ring preferences. So... I'm excited for what the future holds and feel giddy giving him my thoughts on rings. :)
