MrTurk Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 If I see a very attractive woman....I will not keep checking her out like most guys do. Call me weird....but I just dont feel the need to: A. -feed her ego, or B. -be another one of those guys that stares at her everywhere she goes Out of natural instinct, when someone passes through your peripheral vision....you tend to look. So there is a very attractive woman at work. She will be walking by, I glance up, and its her. I guarantee she thinks I'm always checking her out. Hate that
carhill Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 I generally don't 'stare' at people, as I was socialized to interpret that as a rude behavior, but have changed markedly in how I gaze upon attractive women I might encounter. Prior, decades ago, my focus was so outcome dependent that I avoided looking at them as much as possible due to my own insecurities. That changed over time, and markedly so when getting married, so these days I enjoy their attractiveness like an example of fine art and equally enjoy viewing that nice shiny bauble on their wedding finger. I hope they love their life. It's short. 1
ltjg45 Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 I will look but I don't stare. I also certainly won't touch what I can't afford.

Hate that No I don't do that either, and I also get the same response if I accidentally glance at an attractive woman. There's a woman in work who is convinced I keep checking her out, but it's actually because she often wears really outlandish clothes and it's more like I'm looking at her out of curiosity. In reality I don't find her attractive at all.

fortyninethousand322 Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 I have a hard time making eye contact with someone I find attractive. I tend to look up, down, at other people, etc. It's weird because I've been complimented several times for my excellent eye contact when talking to people (including the last few interviews I've been on).
ThaWholigan Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 I look at them for a moment, then do what I'm doing. If I'm attracted enough, I may just go and talk to them. I don't give a f*ck if she thinks I'm checking her out - I probably am.

You think women wear loud annoying shoes to get attention from men? I should tease my running coach about his obnoxiously loud flip flops... How dare he! He's married! 4

xxoo Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 This is a good thing. Women don't actually like being stared at. If you want to make a good impression on an attractive woman, look her in the eye and speak to her as a person. You'll stand out in a positive way.
Author MrTurk Posted August 25, 2013 Author Posted August 25, 2013 I have a hard time making eye contact with someone I find attractive. I tend to look up, down, at other people, etc. Ever had women complain about too much eye contact??? I have. "Why do you look right at me when you talk?" Where the hell am I supposed to look??? Maybe she would have felt more comfortable if I stared at her t*ts instead.

Loud shoes are one of my pet peeves. I always try to buy shoes that I can be a ninja in- silent. Heels don't work that way though. They don't make silent ninja heels. They are all loud. It's just physics, not women wanting to be loud and get attention. There are many reasons to wear heels besides wanting attention. They make you stand up straighter, make you taller if you are short, they are appropriate for certain business circumstances or fancy parties.... Flip flops are loud too. Lol 2

You're probably STARING at them instead of having natural eye contact that occasionally breaks. Again, I think this is likely related to being an Aspie. 1

But do you see how quickly you and 1 other woman totally mystify the chance that there are NO WOMEN anywhere...in this country...that dont enjoy the sound their heels make walking around at work or anywhere else? I never said all women...I never said any reference to how many women....I simply said I guarantee there ARE women that do it. That could be a small percentage as in less than 5%. But heels make many women feel sexy. And the heels can be used to garner attention.....not only by looks, but by sound. Do none of you realize that theres a lot of guys that LIKE that sound that heels make if the woman wearing them is attractive????????? .
Star Gazer Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 They don't make silent ninja heels. Ehhhh, I have a couple pair that are quite ninja-esque. My favorite pair of black patent leather stilettos are oddly quiet; I think it's the rubber thing at the bottom of the heel that's super squishy or something.

Don't worry, I had the eye contact problem as well. Generally, I tend to hold eye contact for a few seconds then break it briefly then go back.

If I thought a guy thought I was staring at him or drooling over him because of his hotness, (Vomit!!) but really I was just looking for whatever reason, and he said something stupid to me like, "Like what you see?" being all egotistical and smug..... I'd ask him about the booger on his nose, or if he was feeling ok? "You look a little pale and sickly" or just go all out and fall to the floor and start saying "I'm not worthy! You're soooooooooo hotttttt" then roll my eyes into the back of my head until he got that i was being sarcastic and he called me a bitch or something and went away forever I don't stare at anyone though because its rude
Star Gazer Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 I simply said I guarantee there ARE women that do it. That could be a small percentage as in less than 5%. You GUARANTEE that there are some women who select their shoes based on how LOUD they are for the purpose of gaining ATTENTION from men? Really? I know of no such woman. 2

I think maybe they make those rubber squishy things that you can buy seperately and stick on the bottom? I'm going to find them. I need ninja heels. Lol

Although I do try to make more eye contact than I want to....because lack of eye contact is an Aspie trait.....so I try to offset it by doing more.

I'm going to find them. I need ninja heels. Lol I've had a couple of pairs re-heeled by a cobbler just from excessive wear, and they too came back not as loud. It's when they wear down and the metal part starts getting exposed that they get loud...for me, anyway. Can't say I've ever seen a woman at Nordstrom trying on shoes and taking them out into the mall or onto the marble to see how they SOUND.

Loud heels probably are part of their plan. I think it's probably higher than 5%- a LOT higher if I had to guess I didn't disagree with you.i agree. I just started talking about myself instead lol
