matt, in deep Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 hey, im new at this and i dont know if im doin this right so dont get all hating on me ok. well i guess i can just go ahead and say it, im so sad right now im getting tore up inside!! you see there is this girl on my block that lives like 2 houses away, she is really pretty, smart, funny, and great to be around! me and her started to date like a week ago and just last night she said that we need a break. she told me straight up that she does not think that she can be faithful with me (i mean like she just might cheat on me or something). she said that she has did it before with her last ex and just the night before the last this cute guy went to her house for her brother and she kissed him on the cheek and said that he was cute. now this girl that i like is a big flirt, thing is i get jelous easy. and when she told me i guess she thought that i would not mind at all and well she was very muchly mistakeing. anyways, i told her i did not mind that at all just that she needs to not do that stuff. so the very next day she said we needed a break in our relationship for now, and omg it hurt so bad when she told me. you see i like girls, i think that they are all great, it dont matter size, color, looks to me. i just think the world of'em, but this girl is different. i like her more then i have liked any, and we were only together for a week. i dont really know much about taking breaks in relationships because i have never had to take one. maybe im wrong about all of what i am think right now, who knows maybe she will feel different here soon. i dont know though. all i do know is that the next day at school she did not even hardley say a word to me, is that part of what a break is? also her friends said that all she wants to be with me is just friends and nothing more, but why would she say the day before that she just wants a break to find herself so she can be more faithful to me? why would she say that she dont like anyone else and that she only likes me and she wants to be with me but she just wants a break? do i need to believe her friends or do i need to believe what she said? is she lying to me? well whoever can help me out i would very muchly appriciate it. thank you
bluechocolate Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 Believe her friends - they would know. And this girl sounds like bad news anyway - she'll cheat on you, she said so - you're best bet is to stay away - there is no way she's going to be worth the hassle.

HS girls don't tend to know what they want (you shouldn't take things too seriously at this point and time) and it sounds like she's not into you that much. Since you're the jealous type and she's a flirt who self claims she can't stay faithful (she'll learn to not say that in a few years I'm sure.. ), thank the gods you know now after only a week. It hurts I know, but its only been a week instead of 6 months or years. So move on and find someone who is interested in you for more than a week. but why would she say the day before that she just wants a break to find herself so she can be more faithful to me? The easy let down most likely. She doesnt want to hurt your feelings by saying she isn't that interested. Go by her actions aka her not talking to you at school over her words.

But i would say that the decision here is can you handle being with someone who may cheat on you at any point, do u like her that much to put up with that pain? cos shes not gonna change until shes got this out of her system. She doesnt seem to be ready for a relationship she just wants to have fun and if ur in high school maybe u should just date people... leave the serious stuff for later
Author matt, in deep Posted November 15, 2004 Author Posted November 15, 2004 hey, thanks for all of the imputs with my ?. i really needed to hear some good advice and well what you all said was just about perfect. my parents always tell me not to worry about the high school girls to but well i just like to get with a girl and get close real fast (but not like close with sex and everything, just really close in feelings) and i guess i should stop that for now. well i dont know what is up between me and that girl now because today she saw me and i said whats up and she just said hey and walked away. im now guessing since she sees i dont even care anymore she is mad. i dont know, but what i do know is that i am happy now. thanks again!
