Knoxpwns Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 So, I'm a dude. Figured I'd open with that given that its apparently mythical for a woman to even respond, but coming to me? damn. Well, the reason I am half confused because of the nature of these sites, knowing people's intentions on them, and this. I got a message from a gal near me. it read as follows; "random but I love the legend of zelda hat in ur other pic. That is all." Refering to a hat I was wearing in a picture plastered with Hylian Crests. So I guess what I wanted to know is... Really? Am I completely oblivious, or did someone actually take the time to go through my profile (even partially) and then send me a message to tell me I had a cool hat, and nothing more? If you can't tell, I suck at dating (been off the market for 6 years, never was on it prior to) so I am clueless as to how this works. I just figured if I wasn't actually interested in someone, I wouldn't message them at all.
Socks At Play Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Women are very wary of approaching guys. For one thing a lot of guys apparently react badly to it. Plus it's just easier for them when the guy is the vulnerable one who risks getting rejected. I think a message like this is better than winks or rating people or other non-message nonsense that OLD sites allow. If I found this woman interesting I'd have no problem proposing a date in response to that message. It's definitely better than "XYZ rates you four stars!"
NateC Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Fire up a conversation just to have one..obviously if she was interested in the hat she's probably interested in the games.
