I feel like there should be a sticky for what I'm about to ask.. 1.) When is NC needed? 2.) When is NC not needed? 3.) When can NC be over? 4.) Are there circumstances where NC can be temporarily broken? 5.) Is there any benefits to NC? 6.) Any cons? And last but not least, is there any stories we can share about NC, both good, and bad?

Unless you can stomach your ex telling you they had great sex last night and are so in love, you'd be best sticking with NC. 2.) When is NC not needed? When the above is not applicable. You have no emotional ties to your ex. 3.) When can NC be over? When you have no emotional ties to your ex and you've moved on from your past relationship. 4.) Are there circumstances where NC can be temporarily broken? Sure, you can do so whenever you want. Is it benefitial, not really. It can give you a nice dose of pain when you are trying to move on. 5.) Is there any benefits to NC? Out of sight, out of mind. When NC you don't have to see all of the little details of your ex's life. Are they datings someone else? Are they happy without you? Do they look better than before? Are they talking bad about you? If you don't have these types of things to see, you'll slowly worry about them less. When heartbroken everything is overanalyzed, the smallest smile breeds hope. A simple sentence brings confusion. All can be avoided by going NC and putting your focus on yourself, not the ex. 6.) Any cons? I'm sure there are. None register high enough to sacrifice your own speedy and efficient healing for though. Life is too short to suffer any longer than necessary. 1
