....."I was going to be taking a break from this site"

or she would be planning on doing so.

It's kind of strange, with either prior to just meeting them or after having meet up with them in person....I hear her say, "Yeah, I might take my profile down or hide it."

With the ones that have met me , JUST online (hadn't met me in person yet) it almost seems like a strange coincidence and "plan" on removing their profile from the dating site as soon as they engage in an email with me or even meeting in person.

Is this common?

Yes, I get this often. I think it's people who are ashamed/embarrassed to be on a dating site or are over-eager to give the impression of not dating around. So far I've learned to ignore it as meaningless noise - it doesn't seem to relate to me or 'us' or have any bearing on whether there will be future dates with the woman.

see, I get.

"you're cute"

"hottie"

"I want to bite your bi-ceps"

"oh, wow we have so much in common!"

and if I even marginally compliment them or flirt back they disappear on me or give me the number then within a few texts they start flirting sexually, ask me for shirtless pics, but don't provide their own when I tell them "you first" then flake on me just before the first meet.

pure insanity.

I think it has something to do with the end of summer.

At the beginning of summer the women were a little less picky to get a guy to go out with to all the summer activities.

Now I think they are looking for their winter time man & have time to be more picky. :)

Hahaha. "Send me a shirtless picture." "You first". You can't say that to a girl!

The mind of the male is WAY different than that of the female.

You've been told by several women that you're a nice guy and a respectful date. They've probably gotten sick of the players, weirdos, jerks as perverts contacting them... And then you pop up, and they figure you're worth a shot.

Lord knows, I've said that phrase so many times for that reason, and then a "normal" guy comes along, so I give him a shot.

But there's always something about him that I wouldn't have given him a shot but for the other guys kinda dampening my spirits...usually, I don't find him all that attractive, and I hope on the date he'll be cuter in person and I'll be attracted. Never works. :(

Hey, that's my line!!! Well, I don't say it to strangers, more like about celebrities... But here I was, thinking I was being all clever. Shucks.

If she's asking for shirtless pics from a guy, then she should expect to send them herself.

I'm an ass. :)

I'm confident, a little cocky, funny, & apparently good looking. got zero problem approaching women.

But, when it comes to being alone with a woman i didn't make the move and got friendzoned.

I'm getting better and can make the move, but only with women I don't see a future with & then I really don't want to. LOL!

Plus women (and men) all seem to think I'm running around slaying hot chicks & enjoying the single life. So nice girls assume I'm just looking for sex.

And I can't go around telling them I haven't been laid in X amount of time cause that will make me look even worse.:lmao:

I'd heard it before on this forum, but no one had ever said it to me.

I think that would actually help you...

If that's your avatar, they're thinking it, I'm sure.

Last time I told a woman I wasn't looking to just hook up and how long it had been she thought I was feeding her a line just to get into her pants.

Lot's of very untrusting women my age out there I guess.

I don't think she believed me because she eventually flaked on our date.

Yes, that's my avatar.

It needs updating i'm in slightly better shape.
