If you tell a girl to call you after a 1st date to let you know when she arrived home

and she sends a text that says "home" and then another text that says "thanks for dinner:)"

 

Does this mean she is interested and I should call? I wasn't sure only because I told her to call me not text me when she arrived home.

Yeah I haven't called yet. The date was on Tuesday and Figured I would call tonight or tomorrow

 

 

But in all honesty I would rather a girl not text at all if she is not interested rather than send a mixed signal

Agreed, it doesn't really mean anything.

 

I'd say it's at least a good sign that she did remember to let you know she got home safe. She appreciates the gesture enough to follow up and make sure you don't worry all night whether she made it home.

 

 

But whether that indicates INTEREST? absolutely no way to know.

Call me old school but I never understood the waiting multiple days before contacting someone again. Two days later and no communication between you two?

Who cares what you told her to do .

I would rather a guy make contact with me first after a date.

If a guy asked me to let him know I made it home - I will reply with a text or a call, depending on my mood, if I was interested or not.

Let the date indicate if she was interested ... Not this.

If I am interested in a guy a second date is usually set up during the first.

Cool your jets man. She let you know she was home. Call her within a day or two and plan a second date. You'll know then if she's interested or not.
