I still miss my last ex and wish we could reconcile but she made it very clear she's not interested anymore nor will we get back together. That's her decision so there's no point in staying in touch. The breakups I've had have been less than amicable. And even if they weren't, I don't want to be just friends. Unless we have a child together, I don't personally see the point.
RedRobin Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Yes. One of my best friends is an ex. Me and his girlfriend are also friends. We swap recipes and I recently went to get a pedicure with her. Another ex and I have occasion to work together and we are friendly, but I keep my distance. He married someone else after we split (I was happy for him)... but when they had troubles he tried to engage me in an affair. Oopsie! Guess I dodged a bullet with that one One is on my LinkedIn, but we don't really chat much. He works in a foreign country and got married. No real reason to get together. I don't keep in touch with my ex-H, although I tried awhile back when I heard there was a major hurricane near where he lived. He doesn't believe in keeping in touch with exes, so I'm not taking it personally. I've heard from my close friends who live near him that he occasionally asks about me. *shrug* The rest of the guys I've dated for an extended period but didn't have sex with I don't consider exes really. I'm friendly with them and happen to see them occasionally at club events.
