Kyliewhits Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 I have LDR with a British guy who is 17 and I live USA (16). We have been in a LDR for 6months and we talk everyday via ms and skype as much as possible and everything is going great I asked my parents 1 month ago if he could stay over next summer just to see what they would say and the answer was yes. But recently my mom found and saw our texts and some were dirty/sexual (Nothing bad) but we actually have proper deep/general talks most of the time.. I managed to make the situation better by showing her the normal convos we have and she now feels a bit better about the situation but still (shocked) that I spoke sexual.. Now i'm not aloud to talk to him for 2weeks+ as punishment. When I asked about him staying my parents said we aren't aloud to have sex and he'd have stay in the spare room, but now this happened i'm scared my mom won't let him stay :'( My Q is, do you think she will still let him stay with us next year?? i'm so worried they wont (dad doesn't know about the texts btw) When should I ask her again because shes still annoyed about the texting and said I shouldn't get attached to him (Already am) and the LDR will never workout.. I love him so much and so does he.. what should I do? and when and how should I ask? thanks so much (I'm new here btw Hi
justwhoiam Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Hi Kylie, Just be open with your mom. Have a talk with her face to face saying something like: You know I am growing up, and really fell for this boy... I will comply with any rules you set for the two of us, but please don't take your word back, I was really counting on him coming to see me next year, please please mom... Etc. 2
Treasa Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Wait and see how things go first, and then ask her next spring. By then he'll be 18, and if she says no, he can get a hotel. I hate to say this, but I totally agree with your mom. I've been in your shoes, but there's a lot you don't know about life yet.
