I've been dating my bf for 4 years, we don't go out much, or anything. I clean his house, cook, and buy groceries, etc. IF I happen to forget something or not have time to do something he'll make a fuss about not having it or rude comment about having to do something himself or will kindly ask his sister to do it. HIS EXCUSE is he spent all his money on his ex wife and her kids, that he's broke but yet if he wants something or to go somewhere wow, he got the doe for that! AND he went shopping with his ex and her kids almost ALL The time, paid for it too or gave them money when he didn't go, HIS EXCUSE NOW... Don't like using HIS TIME OFF to go shopping! Like I like to spend all my time off cleaning, grocery shopping, etc. I already go DURING my lunch hour, or RUSH after work before I have to run and get my kids from practice then RUSH home to get supper fixed BEFORE he gets home so he don't have to WAIT and clean house in the meantime! I do more than most of my friends, he had a MAID before his ex didn't do hardly NOTHING the maid did or his sister did it all!!! I'm supposed to be super woman, just because when he met me I had a cleaned house, and he loved that? WTH??? How do I get through to him I'm NOT his personal maid or whatever to treat me with respect like he did his ex-whore or I can leave too?

You start by taking care of yourself to gain your self respect back. He seems immature, controlling, and simply not a pleasant individual.

Seems like you are his slave while he devotes all of his time and attention to his past. What exactly are you gaining from this relationship?

Is he living in your house and paying no rent? The cost of housing is usually significant but I'm not seeing that fact defined here.

You've got to earn someone's respect.

You already accepted his disrespect for 4 years. I HIGHLY doubt you will ever gain it.

Sounds like you're the woman he settled with after he lost the one he loved. So he honestly doesn't care whether he pleases you or not. The door is open if you don't like it....another will come to fill in his void.
