Dzlez Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 We were supposed to go on a 2nd date on sunday and she was looking forward to it. Today we had a small convo via text and around afternoon she told me "I might not make it on sunday :(" I just replied with "its okay" and still no response from her. I really like the girl but i feel like if she really likes me she would ask to rechedule. Did i say the right thing here? If i dont get a reply tonight, whats the next step? Thanks guys
Lansing Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 I would tell her you want to make plans for Sunday and if she doesn't think she can make it maybe better to reschedule it. Or... I would just not bother contacting her again. If she doesn't make the effort to inform you that she has to reschedule or can't make it then she isn't worth talking to.
pyramid Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Hmm, doesn't sound promising, but I'd give it one more shot if you really like her. "Would you like to meet for dinner on either Tuesday or Saturday?" Something direct and clear like that. Good luck...
Author Dzlez Posted August 22, 2013 Author Posted August 22, 2013 Can i please get more advice about this?
Lovetheatre Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Just text saying "hey do you want to reschedule for a second date?" This is better than doing nothing. Take a chance! Hope everything works out!
SJC2008 Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Yes your response was fine. Don't listen to the posters saying ask her to reschedule. She canceled so it's her job to reschedule. Look at it like this. If you looked like Channing Tatum and a girl had to cancel on him there's no way she's going to f up a chance with him so she's going to offer an alternative!
CarrieT Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 bump still no reply from her Ball is in her court. Move on and don't expect to hear from her again. If you do, great! If not, learn to not get invested after just a first date...
