xxoo Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Veggirl--I do know a couple of women who have that wavy hair texture naturally. And I am so jealous of them. My daughter and I both have it. I usually spend no time on my hair, other than brushing it after it air dries, and people ask me what products I use
veggirl Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 I think the majority of women are in the same boat. I know very few women that don't do anything to tame their hair and get that desired look. What's annoying is that the same men who only respond to that dolled up look whine about women taking long to get ready or being high maintenance. Make up your mind, what is it that you want? LOL, wait for the link to a chick on the beach with "natural" make up and waves, and all the guys being like "I mean I like this type of girl, so natural!" It drives me crazy. Cue the links to celebs they think wear no make up and don't brush their hair yeah they want that, in 5 minutes. and are legitimately and pathetically convinced it exists in masses. sorry but NO ONE has the blow out V. Secret big curls naturally. i wanna see pics if you do 3
Author miss_jaclynrae Posted August 22, 2013 Author Posted August 22, 2013 Don't I know it! I'm straightening it often so I can get it to look longer for now. Eff that. I am straightening this sh*t right now... Got a second date in an hour! The WORST is dudes who are all "I love curly natural, wavy hair" when what they mean is a 1 hour blow out with Victoria Secret "curls". That's obviously the hair most men prefer, no contest. These posts are cracking me up! Seriously, the work it takes to get the f*** me hair is so NOT worth it. I would rather a man hit on me when I have my naturally curly hair. I don't think men realize how much work hair is! Which is why I feel lucky that I can roll out of bed and still have awesome hair without doing s***.
ThaWholigan Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Nah, more like Scary Spice circa 96 The frizzier and crazier, the better

I have total wild woman hair, I love it, I feel lucky because I can pretty much pull off every hairstyle, but with my all done doo I definitely get MORE attention.
90s kid Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 My hair is probably my most prominent feature and the one that I get comments about the most. I have big curly hair (think young Diana Ross) and ever since I started growing it out, I constantly get stopped by random men and women who tell me they love my hair. I love this compliment because I used to flat iron my hair every single day because I thought straight hair was more attractive. Now when I straighten my hair, the reaction is nowhere near the compliments I get on my naturally curly hair. Now on men...hair is huge for me. I don't have a preference for one style over another. It just has to fit that particular guy's face and personality. There's a guy at my office that I have a huge crush on and it drives me crazy that he's constantly messing with his hair. He has a really great head of hair, but he's always doing waaayyy to much with it. Sometimes he grows it out and slicks it back with gel (ewww) or cuts it way too short. I just want to shake him and tell him to leave his hair alone. I have to admit that my attraction to him goes up and down depending on how he wears his hair that day. 2

I don't think it's possible for any guy to have a long-term gf and still believe that there is no tradeoff between time and beauty for most women. At least, most guys I've met who have been with a girl past honeymoon phase are pretty well-versed in what it takes for a woman to look like that... I can get out of the house in 5 minutes, sure - with a nicely-combed ponytail and a tee and jeans. 1
kiss_andmakeup Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 There had to be a hair thread...being a stylist, I can't resist! Hair is huge! Echoing what SweetKiwi said, it's not even just about the hair itself, but how it frames a woman's face and highlights her features...eyes, cheekbones, jawline, and so forth, can all be accentuated with the right style (and taken away from with the wrong one). I also seem to get the most positive responses from men, mine included, with the long, smooth but full, soft-wave/curl look. I couldn't help but start an album since I'm kind of obsessed with hair. The last pic in my album is a great example...in that pic it had been approximately 36 hours since I had last slept, I had no makeup on (a rarity for me), and just generally felt I looked terrifying...and people were telling me how lovely I looked all evening! It was totally the hair, doing its job of distracting everyone from my naked, sleep-deprived face. 2
Star Gazer Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Your bangs are AMAZING. If my hair was thicker and wouldn't like all wimpy and oily on my forehead, I'd totally rock those. 2
Star Gazer Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 These posts are cracking me up! Seriously, the work it takes to get the f*** me hair is so NOT worth it. If it gets me f*cked, I'd say it's worth it! Plus, if I actually *do* my hair, the second day version is even better. If I don't do my hair, there's no way I can get a second day out of it. 1

My hair is obnoxiously thick and I've always wished it were a bit less bulky. You know what they say about that grass... 2
