Dorota Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 My ex-boyfriend and I broke up a little over a month ago. We were having problems for a while. When he broke up with me he said the relationship was stressing him out. I went no contact immediately to give him space and clear his head. He messaged me the day after the break-up but I ignored him. We have a lot of mutual friends. A few days ago I told a couple of them I felt like he was angry at me and resented me. They told me that wasn't the case and convinced me to finally talk to him. I called him, but he didn't answer. He texted me over a day later. He said that he was just giving me space and he wasn't angry. He said he was just concerned and hoped that I feel better. If he isn't angry why would it take him more than a day to respond? And if he was concerned why would he never contact me? I know I shouldn't care. I'm just trying to understand where he is. How do I or do I even respond to the text?
crederer Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 He's likely trying to make himself feel better because he feels guilty for breaking up with you. It is very unlikely he wants to get back together. Keep that in mind. You can contact him if you think that will make you feel better. Just make sure you aren't doing it in order to get back with him, or don't do it at all.
