Fridaymorning Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 I keep going over and over the horrible things my ex said to me when breaking it off. It's deeply hurt me and even now when I think about it, it knocks my confidence. I hate him so much but another part of me loves him. How do I stop over thinking the breakup and the things said? It's so hard.
petall Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 I keep going over and over the horrible things my ex said to me when breaking it off. It's deeply hurt me and even now when I think about it, it knocks my confidence. I hate him so much but another part of me loves him. How do I stop over thinking the breakup and the things said? It's so hard. Were the things he said true though? If so, take it as something to improve on for the next person. It's normal to go over things repeatedly. It's actually your mind trying to process things and that's totally fine. You need to process your own closure. Understand why the relationship failed, accept it then move on. It won't be easy and I guarantee you will go through days when you feel very desperate about it all. But keep no contact and slowly but surely, time will heal your wounds.
