Skyraider829 Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Its too late for that, sorry. Don't even expect a positive or negative response out of her. I find it helps to exclude assumption.
Lansing Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 Why do you say I have more respect for myself and my own time? I meant to say "no respect for" not "more respect"
Author 365daysgone Posted August 21, 2013 Author Posted August 21, 2013 I meant to say "no respect for" not "more respect" Well, man, you cannot honestly say it is my fault a girl no showed on me. I thought something might be up but didn't honestly think she would do that. What if I don't show up and she DID? Its not my fault man.
FitChick Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 You didn't have an exact time, date and place that you could confirm the day before or morning of. It's helpful to let the woman choose or give her a couple of options that you like and let her pick one. Win-win. However, in your case, she wasn't interested and was rude and immature. Lucky escape for you! I had a date in another country and I pinned the guy down to a day, time and place! Sometimes you have to be assertive.
clia Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 You are going to need to develop a thicker skin if you want to continue with OLD. My reaction to your reaction here is that this girl unwittingly dodged a bullet. There are flaky people out there and some of them OLD. Getting stood up happens. In fact, I don't know anyone who did it for any length of time and didn't get stood up at least once. Here, though, it couldn't have come as a complete shock to you. This girl was washy washy about the date in the first place, and didn't respond to your confirmation message. In the future when that happens, you should assume there is no date. Sorry you got stood up (if you even did), but just brush it off and move on. Take it as a learning experience.
Author 365daysgone Posted August 21, 2013 Author Posted August 21, 2013 I confirmed the day before but wanted to confirm the day of. She ended up texting me telling me her alarm didn't go off which I know is bull****. We are trying to set something up tonight. I'm pretty sure she's still just playing with me though.

I wouldn't even go for a second time around, I would move on to other girls or just get out of the dating and pool and wait for a better chance to present itself.
Author 365daysgone Posted August 21, 2013 Author Posted August 21, 2013 Ya you're right. She hasn't texted me back for 6 hours eer since I asked where she wanted to meet. I don't get why it's seemingly entertaining to her to keep screwing with me. Jesus. All I want is a friend to get to know. It can't really be this hard.
Author 365daysgone Posted August 21, 2013 Author Posted August 21, 2013 Its too late for that, sorry. Don't even expect a positive or negative response out of her. I find it helps to exclude assumption. Wait. What do you mean by this? It's too late to text her?? I don't get why you said this.
Lansing Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Wait. What do you mean by this? It's too late to text her?? I don't get why you said this. He meant it was too late to edit his post. The forum doesn't let you edit it after a certain length of time. Would probably have to "report" it and ask a mod to edit it.
Skyraider829 Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Wait. What do you mean by this? It's too late to text her?? I don't get why you said this. I was referring to the site preventing me from editing my post, that's all.
