Girl with boyfriend

Hi everyone,

 

Here is my situation. I recently went on vacation and saw a girl that I went to grade school with and who I haven't seen in about 12 years (I'm 24 yrs old). We were pretty good friends when we were kids and our interests (especially career wise) were/are closely similar. When I saw her this past summer, it was as if we had seen each other a week ago. We talked for about an hour. The next day I bought her dinner and we again talked for about an hour until she had to go to work. She said it was great to see me and said she would keep in touch (probably through facebook) and that she would let me know when she would be back in her hometown (she is still in grad school about an hour and a half away from me). Needless to say I've taken an immediate interest in her and would really like to see her again. However, I recently noticed on her facebook page that she is apparently in a relationship with some guy from school for about 3 months (which she never mentioned to me when I talked to her). I have talked to her a couple of times through email and she responded right away. At this point, I'm not sure about what to do next. I would really love to see her again since we have a lot in common, but I'm worried about making it awkward if she has a boyfriend (since we are friends). I'm not too sure about how serious she is about this guy.

 

Any suggestions about what I should do (email, call, visit, etc) would be appreciated.

 

P.S. She told me in her email that her mother was very happy to hear that I've reconnected with her, if that means anything at all.

Doesn't mean anything. She has a boyfriend. Wait until she's been single for some time to do anything... as of right now, you're just a friend. So keep it that way. A girl who will dump her boyfriend for you will likely do that to you.

 

You don't want to be a home wrecker and you want a relationship that starts off with loyalty and respect.
