My heart got re broken the other day when I saw my ex starting things with another girl despite leaving me to 'find himself' and have 'nothing to do with girls'.

Anyway after seeing it I resolved to go complete no contact. We hadn't spoken for over a month anyway (3months 2weekd post break up).

Yesterday I got two facebook messages from him. One asking why had I deleted him and another saying oops sorry wrong account that was embarrassing.

Basically he had been looking on my profile from a different account of his that we aren't friend on. I am not going to lie I shook so much when he sent them but after it sunk in I just felt blank. Complete indifference with no desire to respond. It didn't matter that he has been checking my facebook, it didn't matter he had communicated.

I simply deleted the messages and once again made the resolve of never talking to him again.

Basically I'm saying that no contact is a life saver, it makes me feel stronger.

Hi Emma,

Expect more of these messages. This is how it started with my ex, just nothing messages at first then I would delete it and not think about it. Then a couple of days later it would be messages of more significance such as 'have you moved on' I ignored them and then one night I received a message along the lines of 'I still love you and miss you so much lets make it work' sort of thing and I fell for it. We met up and slept together and then he decided he didn't actually want to be with me and I haven't heard from him since. I text him 3 times without a reply.

So I went from being strong, confident and in control of the situation to once again being powerless and embarrassed. Expect more of these messages but don't fall for it, I think my ex just got curious and wanted to know he could still have me and now I'm hurt again.

Whatever you do, don't reply. I really really wish I could go back and just ignore it! Keep NC and learn from my mistake!!

A similar thing happened to me, although after I responded a couple of times he confessed he wanted to take me out, and then take me home and have amazing sex () and see where it ended up.

I took great pleasure in telling him what he can do with himself, and that he had never given me an orgasm for our entire relationship.

It had been NC for 2 years before that, and has been for 2 since.

They're not worth the responses. You are doing the right thing Emma.

Yep. He text me after he got home saying he loved me and I was perfect, he'd had a really good time but it wont work because we live 3 hours away from each other. He'd love to give it another go but just cant. and then I replied, text him again and then one more time telling him that I had tried 100% and he'll find someone he deserves in the town he's from.

I wont contact him again. I've deleted everything so I couldn't even if I wanted to, which I definitely don't! NC is definitely the best thing, so wish I could go back and not let him take me out.

Mine had only been 7 weeks so everything was still quite new. I bet that was the best moment ever being able to say that! So wish I could have said something like that to my ex and if he comes back again groveling I will either ignore it or politely tell him where to go!

Yep same thing happened to me, I found out my ex was seeing someone even thou he had denied it to me loads of times before and then saw a pic on fb of them together, heartbroken all again :( I stopped NC then and wat do you know out of the blue he texts me saying he had a dream about me and wanted to meet up and have sex!!!! even though he is still with this girl, he then went on to say he was not that into her etc etc, I just think it is a game to them to c if they can still get us back, I replied back he should be texting his gf and thinking of ways to make his "new" relationship work!!! haha

These replies have made me even more determined to ignore him. How can they think they can just come snivelling back (even though mine isn't quite trying to come back) after all the hurt they have out us through??

I know he has no idea what he put me through and I will never give him the satisfaction of knowing. He's selfish and quite simply cruel in terms of what he said to me and how he treated me afterwards.

He has killed the relationship and he won't get another word out of me.

I remembered more this afternoon...

Soon after we broke up, my ex stared up with my best friend (there is a whole big story here that I won't go into) and I broke all contact with him once I found out (after the few obligatory 'you're a c/f/a/ anything else i could think of).

After a few weeks he contacted me to tell me his dog had passed away. After much deliberation I responded and said I was sorry to hear it. He took this as the opportunity to try and ask how I am and open things up. I shut it down.

A few days after that, I got a message from his phone that was so obviously from her, telling me it was time I left him alone and that what we had was over a long time ago.

She then proceeded to bad mouth me to mutual friends saying that I contacted him all the time.

So my response to his one initial reach out got me in a worse place than before.

More proof you're doing the right thing :)
