wideawake0310 Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 so i've been seeing this guy on match for almost 2 months now. everything is fine, and we took things a little bit "too fast". so today, i decided to check my match (i dont check it that often since i am not interested in meeting other guys) and i kinda wanted to check his profile. and i saw that he updated his profile pic! i am the type of person who confronts right away so i texted him. and now his excuse was that he uses this program "IFTTT" to update all his social profiles for him. is anybody here familiar with that software and its capabilities or this is pure and blatant bull****? please help.

He's absolutely lying. Match is not a channel that is updated with IFTTT. These are the only things you can trigger to update: https://ifttt.com/channels 1

I wasn't sure if I was interpreting that correctly or if you could type in any old website. Personally, I think I'd end it with anyone that was so into social media that they felt the need to use that kind of an app.

The only people I know who use it are marketing professionals who use it for promotional/business-like purposes, not for personal use.
