Last night I threw a dinner birthday party for my girlfriend at a restraunt where they have a live band and all of her friends came. I know about 90% of her friends except for these two other guys and a girl, they being named karen, ian, and jorge.She had become friends with them a few months before in march when her and I had broken up for about 4 months. They had partied a few times during the break up. Of them, karla and jorge were at my girlfriends house when I had gone to pick her up that night on the way to the dinner with her other friend erica whom I know. After everyone had shown up another friend of hers, ian, one of the new friends had shown up. I was in the bathroom when he had shown up, and I noticed him when I returned. Since there was 14 people there we all were sitting at a long table and he was at the other end. When I returned he had come over to grab a chair and I got up to introduce myself and he seemed in a hurry to return to his side. He said he was going to take the chair to the other side beside a girl he knows. My girlfriend then turned to me and said that he was just a friend and went to her phone to show me a picture of all of them partying at her friends ericas birthday. This picture had him in it with her and all of her new friends. She actually had talked about this guy ian, and that she had only met him once at her friends bday party, but I personally know that's not true, she had partied with him and her friends after that time she had met him. Now later on, everyone had left and everyone went to sit closer to eachother but I had left for the bathroom and a cigarette. I think this ian guy kept on looking at me when he had taken the chair from across the room. But I went outside for a bit and everyone eventually decided to leave and met me outside. Everyone sia dtheir goodbye, and I shook ians hand and he put his arm around me. Now my girlfriend had said goodbye to ian and gave him a huy, which prob won't happen if u see a guy twice. My girlfriend caught a ride back with her friends to her house, with her friend erica, karen, and jorge. But I went on my own because I live nearby, she actually didn't make an effort to go to my apartment. But I think she didn't because they were staying at her place. The next day I heard they had stayed up till 530 in the morning. Actually her new friends jorge, and karen barely spoken a word to me or even tried to do so, it was actually weird. Now this guy, ian, I was suprised that she said right away that he is a friend, and showed me a pciture. Would anyone be suprised also by this and by her friends not talking to me at all.

She didn't invite me because I actually live 10 mins awy from the restraunt, and it would be almost an 75 min drive back and forth for me. I knew I that her friends would be there at her house and we wouldn't get any "personal" time. It was def weird how the three new friends didn't even try to talk to me at all.

It's hard to say whether you're reading into something or not. You said you'd broken up for a while- who knows, maybe she told these people about your problems and they think you're a jerk. Maybe one of the guys does like your gf, and he's jealous- doesn't mean she acted on anything before or plans to in the future.

 

You know your gf best- is she trustworthy?

 

Something may be off about the situation- she might even have minimized how much time she spent with another guy because she sees you as the jealous type and didn't want to deal with that...

Ian didn't not go to her house after but she had said when she was leaving that the guys would drive her back and I asked if he was also. But he, ian, I saw walk to his car. I was suprised that he was in a rush to get back to his side, and it caught my attention. My girlfriend has done things in the past which would make me question her actions, getting a guys number at a bar when I was getting her water, and having her friends set her up with other guys while we were together. Lately she has used her daughter as an excuse to stay in on a Friday night a few times, when she actually told me a few days later that she had gone out with her girlfriend for a few drinks. The whole group had planned a vegas trip on labor day weekend when her and I were broken up, including her new friends, ian, jorge, and karen and her friend erica and another couple. She had told me about it when we had gotten back together but the last I heard from then was she wasn't going due to a conflict on what todo there and go to. But last I heard was she was offered to catch a ride with a friends niece to vegas after work on a satursday evening and she didn't say if she was going or not. Since they planned it when her and I were broken up I wasn't invited but since her and I are back together she hasn't invited me or asked if id like to go. If she goes have fun, I can find my own things to do. I actually have one more exam to receive my license for a job and to finally finish it.

Ya, but it was planned when we weren't together. If she goes now that were back togethwr somethings up. She has done sketchy things before, and she does actually go to vegas with some friends this time every year, even though the last few years it was her and her friend erica. Last year she said she went to a club in vegas ona Friday night, her and her friend had drank before at the hotel room and were drunk at the club. They met two guys who they talked to most of the night, after they started drinking water. That's what she told me when I saw her when she returned. She elaborated a month later that they hung out with the guys in the club, but my girlfriend got tired and waited in the lobby for erica and the guy she was talking to joined her outside and bought her a pizza. I can't remember what happened then, but I texted her that night and she said she was waiting for a cab at around 3am. She said the next day those guys kept on texting her. Also on Saturday, after not texting me much the night before, my girlfriend kept trying to get me to come to vegas and join her, and said she missed me and such. Two yrs ago she drank in the hotel room with two other friends and went to the club, but my girlfriend couldn't get in and she walked the strip back to the hotel. She said she began talking to two guys and thye walked with her to the casino, and they wanted to go to her room, but she ditched them. Then she elaborated that she actually drank and gambled with them in the casino then dicthed them. So who knows

I actually caught her on a lie but she doesnt know how i did or that I did catch her. basically i texted her on a friday night, whats up around 730pm. Waited about an hr, still no reply, so I texted her a "." Sign. Nothing. Around 10pm I used a friends phone and called her and she answered and as she spoke I could hear a guy talking in the background, but other than that it was quiet. Now I didn't speak. I know this was a bad move but I was very angry. The next morning she texted me good morning, and I asked what happened the night before, she basically said that she had left phone off all night charging. Which Is bs, because I have seen her with her phone, she checks it and texts almost every 20 mins, and I know a girl is constantly on her phone. She pulls this crap where she says she's gonna stay in on Friday night, actually did it a wholel weekend. This makes zero sense at all, depending upon what you're trying to convey with the phrase "without provocation".

 

Y'mean like, when bf and gf are walking though a grocery store, and the store manager passes by at the end of the aisle, and the gf spouts up: "oh, there's the manager of this place, we're just friends" ??

 

Furthermore... females can and easily do maintain mere "friendships" with males without having romantic interest in them. Because women can get sex anywhere, they simply don't need to look for it from all directions.

 

Just because males have zero interest in mere "friendships" with women they wouldn't rather be banging, does not mean that the same is true of females and their male friends.

 

As written, this story could go either way.

What he means is that I didn't ask her who ian was and she just said almost right away that he was a friend. I hadn't asked about him and she had said this to me within five mins of me seeing him and meeting him. This is what threw me off and made me wonder about this guy ian.
