Dang . . . time goes by fast. Anyways, during the summer after I graduated high school, I met the most wonderful girl in the world at a church camp. We quickly became inseparable, always talking, texting, laughing and hanging out. At the time I was very young and immature and was incapable of controlling the feelings I had for her, and it ruined our relationship. I still see her from time to time as we go to the same church. We're not really on speaking terms but have mutual friends. At the moment, I realize that college and a career are most important in my life. But from time to time I dwell on the past and I was wondering if It would ever be possible for me and her to have a relationship again. Honestly, I would settle for a friendship at this point so that I may at least have her in my life. I would really appreciate some advice on how to do so. Or really any advice on how to deal with this situation.

Since you had the fall out with her have you ever attempted to speak to her? I don't mean as soon as the incident happened more so after you gave it sometime to cool off a bit?

Since that time I've only really talked to her once.

Maybe since it's been a little while you could try to start up a friendly conversation, even if it's a simple "Hi" at church, you never know what could happen if you don't at least try... Just take it slow if she does choose to respond to you.
