I am newly single (one month). My colleague has been tried to set me up with this guy I would say 3 months ago. Well, I wasnt single so I didnt take her up on it. Then when I became single I gave her the green light. Well, she tried to set up an after work happy hour with me, her, him, and his colleague. Well, the week she tried to set up I couldnt do but 1 day available because of some work training workshop I had that week, so we planned for the week after. Well, the day we were all supposed to go out it was bad weather so she set up for 2 days later.

I got all dressed up, etc and then she had told me the day of that he has clients so couldnt make it today or tomorrow but wants to set up for the next week and when am I available. So now it has been upgraded to a date between me and him... Now, I understand things come up. Maybe he didnt check his appointments before it was booked (he owns his own company), or maybe he is playing some game where he is trying to not look too available....

Thoughts???

I would say legit excuse as of right now. If he cancels the next date then he's just flaking on you and doesn't have any real interest.

I figured. I figured if he wasnt interested in the first place then why ask her to introduce us and set up the date. Once she introduced us he made an effort to talk to me in my office, etc so I figured he was. I guess I get discouraged easy.

You'll get your answer if he cancels the next date.
